"HEY, HEY, WAKE UP MURDERER!!"
Killua woke with a jerk at the sudden screaming. He rubbed his eyes to help them adjust and looked over at who was making the noise.

"Are you going to do that every morning? Look, it's not my fault my family killed you." This guy came to wake Killua up almost every day at very early hours. His name was James, and he had a grudge against Killua's family because his brother killed him. Yet the only one he gets to yell at because of that is Killua, just because he could see him.

"I SWEAR IF I COULD INTERACT WITH THE LIVING YOU'D BE DEAD, BOY!" He yelled.

"Oh wow! I've never heard that one before" Killua thought about all the other spirits floating around this place with judges against his family, or to put it personally, against him.

Killua laid back down and shut his eyes to try and get him to go away. At first, he kept yelling but then realized he couldn't do anything besides that and left. Killua felt peace again, and sleep starting to overcome him. That is until he heard a familiar voice wake him.

"Damn psychopaths, all o' em"
"Torne, I'm trying to sleep," Killua mumbled
"Haha! Wish I could do the same. Hey, wha are dreams like? I was wonderin' that yesterday when I visited my friend, he's a Sleep Paralysis demon. I tried askin' him but he just told me ther' too confusing for me to understand so I just thought: I'll ask my human friend then, and-"
Killua grabbed his pillow and put it over his ears to block out the demon's voice. Everyone had a personal demon hovering over them, it's the thing that puts bad ideas into your head, Killua just had the curse of being able to see and interact with his. And that led to many nights of no sleep.

He got out of bed a couple of hours later. Walking down the hall, he knew about all the shadow figures staring at him but paid no mind to them—they always stared at him like that.

"Brother! I made a friend at school!" Said Killua's sister, Alluka.
"Nice! You should invite them over later" Killua replied, he always asked her that to make sure all of her new friends were trustworthy. Was he a little overprotective? Not! Why would you assume that?

He noticed Nanika behind her smile. Killua smiled back. Nanika was supposed to be Alluka's twin but had died at birth with her eyes underdeveloped. But Killua was still very glad that he was able to see her, she acted as Alluka's guardian angel, constantly watching over her with Killua and making sure no harm comes her way.
'At least she's safe from the family' he thinks. He remembers of all the times she could've been treated the same way he and his siblings were treated if it weren't for Nanika and some other spirits.

Then Nanika's face turns to behind Killua and suddenly she looks angry. He turns around and sees a tall black figure standing in the corner, the figure stays still as he glares at it.

"Kil, get ready I'm going to drive you to school-" mentions Killua's brother as he walks in from a hallway. The figure flees when it hears Illumi. When it passes him Illumi turns towards where it used to be with a confused expression, or what looks like confusion on a face like his.

"What's wrong?" Asks Alluka from behind Killua.
"Thought I saw something, weird" he responds, "did you hear me, Kil? I said get ready!"
"Yes," I said hurriedly as I went to get my bag.

....

Kurapika woke up to banging on his apartment door, he looked up at the blinds and saw darkness through them. He reached towards his clock and saw '4:12 am' he groaned and hung his head forward as he put it back.
'Not again' he thought.

"KURAPIKA WAKE UP! WAKE UP YOU GOTTA HELP ME!" The door opened to a very tired man in a sweatshirt and shorts.

"Leorio, it's 4 in the morning," Kurapika grumbled.

"I know but I needed your help! There are ghosts in my house!! Or something else because I saw a figure in the kitchen, and it was gone when I looked!" Kurapika looked at him like bugs were crawling out of his ears.

"Are you fucking stupid? That's a trick of the light dumbass, or in your case blindness."

"Please! I promise I will never come to your house at night, if ever again! If you come help me." He pleaded.

"Fine! But you owe me money for this" Kurapika responded.

The shadow figure clung to the ceiling looking around the apartment living-room Leorio owned.
'Mmmmm smells good tastes good must stay must protect must feed on darkness'
It looked over at the Ouija board sitting on Leorio's table.
'Nasty darkness oh nasty talk to darkness oh'

The door to the apartment opened, the figure stayed still as the two men walked in.

"I swear to you, my apartments haunted!" Said Leorio as Kurapika walked around looking under things.
"There's no such thing Leorio, everything has a reason for what it does"

They walked upstairs and into the bedroom, Leorio stayed close behind the blonde. There was a black mark, a shadow on the wall.

"EEEEEKK THERE IT IS THERE IT IS!!"
"Oh no!" Kurapika yelled sarcastically as he threw a shirt from the floor at it. Instantly the spot jumped off the wall and flew into the hallway.

"Oh, a bat!" Said Leorio with relief.
"Good news is, your house isn't haunted. Bad news, it's got pests." Said Kurapika, turning around to Leorio with an 'I told you so' look on his face.

Leorio rubbed his neck in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, but I still believe in the paranormal you know!"
"Yeah." Said Kurapika as he left the apartment.

Leorio stood there thinking of the bat he now had to deal with when something moved out of the corner of his eye.

...

"FREECS! KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!" Yelled the coach from across the field.

'Stop yelling at me I got it!' Gon thought as he raised his bat again.

Zushi raised his arm to throw the baseball to Gon. He was out of focus right now, something seemed to be distracting him. 'Well, I wonder what that is? Maybe because we have to be out here at 6 in the morning; in the cold, pouring rain!' He thought as he swung the bat.

As soon as it took flight he ran across the field to the goals. He kept running and meeting all of them, '1' he thought as his foot met the first goal. '2' he was halfway there now '3' all he needed to do now was run to home-

"YOUR OUT FREECS"

The ball was thrown at him.
'God, why can't I pay attention right now!' He thought as he stormed off to sit on the cold bleachers. He pulled the rim of his coat near his neck closer to him to keep warm.

The truth to his distracted mind might relate to last night, he couldn't sleep due to a recurring nightmare. It didn't make sense, all he could see every time was one picture, a broken window. There were some other attributes to it such as blood near the glass; a certain figure of a person standing near the window, although the figure couldn't be described due to him forgetting every time he woke. But the weird thing wasn't the picture. It was how the dream made him feel, strong anxiety, a feeling so realistic.

"Hey, what's on your mind?" His friend Retz said as she sat by him.
"Nothing, just tired." He answered.
"It's so strange how your coach is making you all work in this rain," she said, lifting her hands to let it fall on her.
"At least the bleachers have roofs." She went on while putting her hand back down.
Gon simply hummed in response.
'This is gonna be a long day' he thought.
