CHAPTER 3 BADASS

And for those of you who might have been eager for the update ( I assume and hope there are a few of you at least coz very few comment and vote on my work :( but I am grateful for the reads:) ). "Beep beep beep" the alarm went waking me from my peaceful sleep. I raised my head and looked at my clock. It was 6.00Am. I still had an hour and a half until orientation starts. I covered myself over the head with the blanket until I heard cindy yell in a playful tone ' rise and shine sleepy head'.

"Cindy, orientation starts at 7.30. Let me sleep. " I yell in a sleepy tone.

"I know, we don't have much time. " She replied.

"Isn't our college in a walking distance from our dorm.?" I asked now confused.

" Yes, it is and it takes approximately twenty minutes to reach. " Cindy replied.

" Then why must I wake up now?" I tried to cover myself over the blanket again until a thought crossed my mind. "Didn't I set my alarm for 6.30?" I voiced out my thought.

"You did, but I reset it to 6 after you fell asleep. " Cindy replied nonchalantly.

And that was all it took took to bolt me up from my bed. I now tried to gain composure on myself and not jump on her and hit her senseless with my pillow. I can tolerate a lot of things but no one and I mean no one dares to disturb me from my peaceful sleep unless there is an important reason like a life or death situation. But after reminding myself that she was a nice girl and my only friend so far, I decided to let it go for now.

"Why would you do that? " I asked as calmly as I could.

"To help you of course ." Cindy replied cheerfully.

I now looked at her dumbfolded. She really lost me if she thought that disrupting my sleep would be contained helping me. Especially since peaceful sleep was now a gamble in my mind.

" you need to get ready for for our first day." Cindy said to me.

" I will in time." I said to her.

"We don't have much time beks. It's already 6.15 and we need to leave the dorm room by 7.10 if we want to reach there in time. That means we only have 45 minutes to shower, freshen up and get dressed. " Cindy said in a serious tone.

" sigh! I didn't need forty five minutes to finish all that cindy. Twenty will do sufficiently. " I retorted but since since this conversation had managed to destroy whatever sleep was remaining in me. I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up. Cindy had already finished brushing her teeth so I brushed my teeth . I then took my shower and let the cold water and my strawberry soap completely awaken me. I then put on my undergarments and wrapped myself in a towel and headed out of the bathroom while I wrapped a smaller towel around my head.

"Your done already? " Cindy gasped as she went in to the bathroom for her shower. She took fifteen minutes for her shower. By the time she finished her shower I had already finished gotten dressed in my thin cotton white sleeveless top and baggy jeans and I finished my out fit with my black snickers and a little lipbalm. All of which with in total my shower and tooth brushing , I took seventeen minutes in getting ready. Cindy then took about ten minutes to find a purple tank top to match her white skinny jeans. She then took fifteen minutes to finish her makeup and spray some perfume on herself and then took another ten minutes to finish her outfit with her red heels. I sighed of relief when she was done. We then made our way to our college to attend the orientation.
Cindy and I sat down to eat breakfast at the cafeteria after the boring and never ending orientation . The cafeteria was huge with brick walls and wooden tables. The food available here was not only hygienic but also of variety which came as no surprise as this was one of the finest private colleges in the city. It wasn't easy to get a scolarship here but the quality of education and the level of the college made it all worth it. Cindy and I finished our breakfast in peace and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until I noticed someone head his way towards our table. He immediately Caught my attention as his face was not one to forget. Well at least not after the first impression he made. He pulled a chair next to cindy and sat down placing his bag beside his seat. He wore a white hoody and blue jeans which were quite loose and were hanging from his hips. He also wore big dark shades which I assume were either an attempt to look mysterious or to avoid someone. If it was the later,he was seriously mistaken if he thought it was working.
