Scarlett's pov
"Two healthy baby girls" the midwife told me showing me my babies. "Oh my gosh, their beautiful" Chris says carefully holding one of them and I'm holding the other one. "Have you found names for your little ones?" The midwife questioned while getting papers ready to write them down. "Yes, Ava and Isla Evans" I tell her and she nods writing is down on her paper.

For the rest of the day, I laid in bed with the girls trying to get enough sleep but they would start crying right as I was about to close my eyes. So Chris would take them for a bit and let me have some sleep. He would always kiss my head whenever he would leave the room with the girls. What I mean by that...it's that they have a baby room with all the newborns and their names are on their own little bed. So basically it's a room full of babies. So cute!

I woke up and felt refreshed. Finally got my hours of sleep since I couldn't sleep well the last two weeks. It was horrible. Chris then walked in, smiling like he won a trophy, and sat down on my bed. He made me scoot over which took a bit since I'm still sore. He then opened his arms for me and I gladly fell into them. We stayed like that for about half an hour until he asked a question. "Would you like anything from the cafeteria?" he looked at me while waiting for the answer. "Can I have a muffin please?" I told him. As nice as I could. He then laughs making me frown. Why is he laughing? "Of course" he kisses my cheek before getting up and walking out the room.

After he left, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram, looking at what I missed. There wasn't much. So I carefully leaned over, so that I can set my phone down, but immediately dropped it due to someone scaring the living hell out of me making me groan in the process. Chris came in yelling looking panicked. "Why are you yelling?" I ask him. He ignores me and looks around the room. Obviously looking for something. "Chris...you're scaring me" I mumble. "The girls, where are they?" He croaked.

What? He's messing with me right? I know he loves pulling pranks but this isn't funny. I tilt my head and answer his question. "What do you mean? They're in the-" "no they aren't. They're gone" that's when he starts to cry and when I realized that he isn't messing around. I froze. I couldn't breath. They can't be gone. I felt a tear running down my cheek, then another, and another. I wiped them away and detached myself from all these stupid machines. "We need to find them!" I rush out, trying my best to ignore the pain, and run to the baby room. Chris is hot behind me, asking doctors if they've seen anyone walk out with two little babies. They all said no.

I curse as I push past people. I arrive at the room and look through the window. I'm scanning every single baby in their but I can't find my babies. Their beds. I look for them and find no baby sleeping peacefully inside. I look around, barely being able to see since I'm balling my eyes out, and notice the midwife who helped me. "Why are you up? You should be-" I cut her off and ask her the question. "Where's Ava and Isla?" She looks at me like I'm crazy. She slowly turns her head to the window and looks inside. "They should be-" she drops her papers and runs inside. I don't what she was doing but God help me.

"I'll check security. You call the cops" she says running off. Chris and I look everywhere but we still couldn't find them. It's only been a day...and they're gone. I don't know what to do anymore. Chris told me that we should wait for the cops but I didn't want too. "The more we wait, the longer they are further away from us" I cried into him as he hugs me like his life depends on me. "Ms. Johansson and Mr. Evans?" I hear someone say our names so I look up to see police officers standing with their not pads. "We are here to ask you about Ava and Isla" he says so we tell him everything. I could barely talk. I was crying to much. I mean, can you blame me? "Ava has a birth mark behind her left ear and Isla has one on the tip of her right thumb" Chris told them. They wrote everything down before they leave making me cry even more.
