Isla's pov
"Ready for the game tonight?" my sister walks in my room right as I was about to take my bra off so that I cant put a sports bra on. "OH MY GOD! DON'T YOU KNOCK?!" I shout as she shrugs and sits on my bed. "We're twins...we have the same parts" she says and I flip her off. I quickly get changed and run downstairs to grab my stuff.
"You ready kid?" dad ask as he hands me my hat. "Yes sir" he gives me this funny face only making me laugh. "Where's mom?" I ask as I put my shoes on and Ava does the same. "Um...she can't came today" he says avoiding eye contact with me. "Why? She said she would come" it's true. She told me that she promised she would come.

"I know but stuff came up" I frown and he notices. "Hey, turn that frown upside down because your favorite aunt will be there" my eyes lit up. We love Lizzie. "What about Robbie?" I ask as he grabs his keys and ushers outside. "He's also coming" I smile and hop in the car. We drive to the diamond and get out. I see the team already there and warming up. "Ah, I thought you weren't going yo make it" my coach says. "I wouldn't miss this if I broke my leg and couldn't play" my coach laughs and makes me join the others. After a while the game is about to begin. Everly, a girl on my team, went up to do the coin toss and while that was happening, I saw Lizzie and Robbie waving at me.

I wave back and they go to sit next to Ava and dad. "Psss, Isla" I look around to see who's trying to talk to me. "Over here" I turn to the left and see Isaac waving me over. I sigh and jog over. "You ready to win?" he ask. "Hell yeah" we do our handshake. "My game is right after yours so the team will be watching" I nod my head. "Let me tell you something that will help you and the team. Number 10 can't run for life. Number 3 can pitch pretty well but she can't hit the damn ball. Umm let's see...number 7 is a good bunter so don't give her the chance to do it" I take notes on this. "The others are just trash" I laugh. "Isla, let's go" my coach yells at me. "See you later" I hug Isaac really quick and run off to start.

Ava's pov
The game has started and our team is already wining. Isaac wasn't lying about how shit they are. "They really are bad" Lizzie whispers to me but the lady in front of us heard. She turns around and glares. "My daughter is on that team" she says making us roll our eyes. "Well I'm sorry but it's the truth and everyone sees it" Robbie nods to that making the lady huff and turn back around."Where's Scarlett?" Robbie ask just after a play has been made. "Something came up apparently" dad told them. "Weird" Lizzie whispers. There's obviously something I don't know.

It's the fourth inning and they are demolishing the other team and it's kind of sad. Isla made most of the points like usual. Isaac and his team are sitting behind us making fun of the others. It was kind of funny though because it's all true. "Excused me, sorry" I heard someone say and I know that voice but maybe I was tripping. So I ignored it. "She is hot though" I heard one of the boys on the team say. "Shut up. That's literally my sister your talking about and she's taken" when I heard that, I knew it was Isaac defending me. "Watch that mouth young boy" dad told him making me want to slap him. "Don't you have something better to drool for?" I turn around and saw Kayla glaring at the guy.

"Sorry" he whispers as she sits next to me. "Your girlfriend is here" Isaac whispers in my ear and I elbowed him on his leg. "So this is Ava's girlfriend that Isla has been talking about" Lizzie speaks making me want to slap her too. "She's not my girlfriend" I glare at her. "Right, then why are you sitting practically on top of her then?" I look down and its true so I scoot away a little making Kayla pout a little. "Okayyyyy let's watch the game now" I said changing the subject since it was getting a little weird.

Isla's pov
"We won!" I rush over to my family plus...Kayla? "Good job peanut" Lizzie says while giving me a bone crushing hug. "This deserves a treat" dad gives me a side hug after Lizzie is done killing me. "Why is Kayla here?" I ask not trying to sound rude though. "Wow. Can't your best friend come to watch your games?" she ask so innocently. "Right. Were you here to watch me or drool all over my sister?" I raise an eyebrow making her blush. "Both duh" Ava rolls her eyes. "Wait" they all look at me and rush over to Isaac. "Good luck" I hug him. "Oh and take this. It's my good luck bracelet and don't lose it" he nods and puts it on. "Bye sis" he smirks as I flip him off and walk away.

As I reach them, dad I giving that look. "Why did I see the forbidden finger in the air?" he asked making the others laugh. "She does it all the time at-" I cover Kayla's mouth before she can expose me which she already kind of did. "Why don't YOU bring your girlfriend out for ice cream?" I suggest to Ava whos glaring at me HARD. "Shut up. Let's go Kay" Ava grabs her hand and walks away. That's new. "Be back before 10!" dad shouts after them. "I ship them" he then says making us all laugh. "Dad, carry this" I hand him my bag. "Um why?" he ask but doing it anyways because he loves me. "Because I want Lizzie to give me a piggy back" I give her the puppy eyes. "I would but my back hurts" I knew she wasn't lying so I let that one slide. "What happened to your back?" I ask as I jump on Robbie's back instead.

"Anyways, let's get ice cream" dad says changing the subject. We walk to the car but on the way, Lizzie was holding onto one of my hands because she knows. She just knows. We soon arrive and get the ice cream. We talk about literally everything and all the events coming up. Soon dad and I drove home while Lizzie and Robbie went to their house. When we arrived, we saw moms car in the driveway. I sigh and unbuckle my seatbelt. "I can get my stuff and put it in the garage" I tell dad. He nods and I do what I told him. After that, I go inside and see mom and dad having a deep conversation that I chose to ignore until I heard her say "Chris, this was more important than a softball game" that one hurt.

I was standing there, tears trying to escape. Dad turned his head and saw me. "You better come to the next one" he says walking away from her and towards me. "Shall we watch a movie?" he ask as he wipes my tears away. "But it's almost 10..." I tell him. "That reminds me" he walks over to the front door and opens it. What we saw was something priceless. "Alright. There's something called breathing" dad says separating them. We all laugh and mom walks over. She has her initial smirk on her face. That stupid smirk.

"I knew this was going to happen" she says and I roll my eyes. "See you tomorrow" Ava kisses her cheek and walks inside closing the door behind her. "Now, I'm totally okay for you two dating but I don't-" he gets cut off by Ava and I laughing.
"Dad, I can't get pregnant with a woman so we'll be fine" she says walking away making mom and dads eyes pop out. "It's not the first time she's done it" I tell them as I walk upstairs to my room to shower and get ready. I then go over to Ava's room to see if she wanted to watch the movie and she said yes. We both went downstairs and there was popcorn and drinks already for us.

Dad let us chose the movie and we started watching. "Where's mom?" Ava ask halfway during the movie. "Working in her office" we both sigh. I then get a message from Isaac telling me that his team won. I text him back and we arranged to meet at the front doors tomorrow before class like we always do with the others. "Okay bed time" dad says and we both whine. "You should carry us" Ava suggest and I nod. "Fine. Stand on the couch" we so that and he carries us like a sac of potatoes to our room. Ava first then me. "Night dad" he kisses my head.

"Goodnight princess. Mom should be coming up soon so kiss you goodnight" I nod my head and he left. I grab my phone and scroll though TikTok waiting for mom but she hasn't shown up and it's been 30 minutes so I just went to bed. What's wrong with her? She's been acting weird lately.

Oh well.

I don't care anyways.
