Isla's pov
"I definitely failed that math test" my sister tells me as I lean my head against Theo, who gladly wraps his arms around me. "Well, you should have studied" I tell her. She managed to shove me into someone who drops their books on the floor. "I'm so sorry. Here let me help you" I help the poor boy pick up his books. I grab his books and hand them over. "Fuck" I whisper as I see his face. He's soooo fine. "Thanks" he smiles at me. "You're Isla right?" He ask. "That's me and you are..." bitch I don't know anyone's names here and it's been a few months since we moved. "Maxwell but call me Max" I smile and we shake hands. "Don't you have soccer practice?" Theo ask as his grip tightens on me. "Yeah...I'm just getting my stuff" Max answers him like it's nothing.

"Isles we got to go. Mom and dad are waiting" Ava takes Theo's grip off of me and drags me away. "Bye guys! Don't forget about Sunday!" I shout as my voice echoes through the hallway. We walk together where the car is parked. I see our parents waiting, with their sunglasses on. "Look, It's Chris and Scarlett's kids!" Someone shouts, making me snap my head in that direction. "Ugh, here we go again" Ava mumbles. "Can we take a picture?" a kid asked. I roll my eyes at him as Ava crosses her arms. "Look Ethan, you already asked earlier and it will be same answer as before. Now go home" Ava pushes him away. "Fine. You're not that famous anyways" he walks away. "He literally has two followers on Instagram" I mumble as I open the door to the car.

Mom and dad turns to us like nothing happen outside, right in front of them. "How was school?" mom ask, taking her sunglasses off. "It was awesome! We got to pie one of our teaches at the assembly" I tell her. "Wait, I have a video" I pull out my phone and show them. "Ha, that's gold" dad laughs then starts the car up. "How about you baby, how was your day?" It's now mom's turn to ask Ava. She doesn't respond to her so I talk for her instead. "She failed her math test" I say proudly. "Hey! I did not" she shoves me to the side. "Well, did you study?" dad ask as he takes a sharp right turn making us go flying. Even if we had our seatbelts on.

"Obviously-" "no, she didn't" she turns arounds and glares at me. Hard. "She also left the last page blank" "OMG CAN YOU SHUT UP" she yells at me. I shrug and start playing a game on my phone. Mom starts to sing along with the music on the radio, dad is also trying to sing but he can't. He doesn't have the voice like mom has. She's literally a pro. "I wish you could have sang us to sleep. Your voice is so smoothing" I turn my head to see Aves looking out the window as she spoke. I look back to see mom giving dad a sad smile. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it" she continues. "It's okay. How about we invite Lizzie over and we can have a marvel movie marathon. You can also invite your friends" mom suggest trying to lighten up the mood.

"Okay" we say at the same time. We pull up to the house and I run over to Kayla's to ask her. Ava is hot behind me. Of course she's coming. She has a huge crush on that girl. I lift my hand up so that I could knock but Ava stops me. "What?" "give me a sec" she fixes her hair and I roll my eyes. "Okay, ready" I sigh and knock on the door. We wait for a couple of seconds and the door opens. "Hi Evan twins. What's up?" she ask. She doesn't even make eye contact with me. Only to Ava. "Can you guys date already like sheesh" I roll my eyes and she drags us inside. "Hello girls!" Kayla's mom greets us with hugs. "Hi, how are you?" we both ask at the same time. "I'm doing great, thank you!" "mom, let us go" Kayla whines. She nods and runs to the kitchen to do something.

Kayla brings us to the living room, where her older sister is vibin'. "So, what's up?" she ask as we all sitting down. "Well, we are having a movie night and we were wondering if you wanted to come and watch with us?" I ask. I already know the answer to this but still. "Sure! I'd love too" she jumps up and runs to the door. I roll my eyes and Ava is just staring at her like she's a rare art piece or something. "Come on!" she drags us out and to our own house.

Ava's pov
We are watching a movie, I don't really know what because I haven't been paying attention to it. It's not because of Kayla this time. It's about my past, well...our past. Isla told me I should talk about it with mom and dad when I'm ready and I guess I am now. I feel like they already know some things but not all. "Thank you for inviting me" I snap out of my thoughts. Mom is walking Kayla to the door, so is Isla. "You okay? You seem off" dad says sitting down next to me.

I nod my head but I don't think he bought it. "Come talk to us whenever. We're here for you" I nod once more as he brings me into a side hug. "Love you. Don't stay up too late" "okay. Love you too" he smiles and walks upstairs. "I'm sooooo tired I could sleep here and I wouldn't complain" my sister lays on the cold floor and is literally closing her eyes. "Isla, baby, let's not sleep here okay" mom says picking her up and taking her to her room. I follow them and walk to my room. I put my pajamas on and do all my night time routine. I then jump in bed and scroll through my Tiktok's. It's boring sometimes but it's fun when you don't have anything better to do.

I scrolled for a while until I heard someone knock on my door. I look up and see mom smiling at me. "Goodnight Ava" she walks over to me and kisses my head. She then tucks me in but I sigh, making her stop. "What's wrong?" "I'm not five you know. I don't need someone to tuck me in" she nods her head and backs away. "You can tuck me in, mom" I look over her shoulder and see Islas standing there looking tired as hell. "Okay. Love you Aves" "love you too" she walks out the room and Isla takes her hand. Such a mother's girl. I put my phone away and try to close my eyes but I just can't.

I don't know how long I've been like this but the next ting I know, I look over at my clock and it's 11;35 pm. I sigh and get out of bed. I can't sleep without telling them my story. I walk out my room and to mom and dads room. Thankfully, they aren't sleeping yet. Mom is probably working on her skin brand and dad...I don't really know. He's reading a book which surprises me. I gently knock on their door and mom looks up and smiles. She pats the spot in between them. I run over and make myself comfortable between them. I lay my head on dads shoulder, trying to ready the book, as mom plays with my messy hair. "What's up?" she ask after a few moment of silence. Should I tell them this late at night? Ugh. Fuck it. "Um...I need to tell you something really important and I'm sorry that I didn't tell you earlier" here we go.
