I held the baby as we walked out the doors, into the open area of the cell block. Carl was silent, Maggie and I sobbed as everyone stood outside, their attention focusing on us. Carol and T-dog however, weren't there. You could see Rick's expression sadden, he dropped the Axe he was holding and walked up to us. He gave us a look, I shook my head sobbing.

"She's gone. We couldn't save her. Rick I'm so sorry." I shook my head, my voice shaky. Rick cried and shouted hysterically, dropping to the ground as he mourned the loss of his wife. Beth took the baby from my hands, giving her to Hershel. Daryl came and wrapped me in his arms, comforting me as I cried. What had happened will forever haunt me. Daryl rubbed my back soothingly, I turned my head to see Carl standing in the same spot as he was when we walked out five minutes ago. His head down, pale as a ghost. You could see the tears running down his cheeks. Rick got up, grabbing his axe, and ran back inside the prison blocks. We shouted for him, but he didn't respond and continued on into the prison anyway. Maggie told us to let him go, as he needs his time alone to cope.

"Good news is, she seems healthy. But, we're gonna need formula." Hershel spoke, examining the newborn child.

I felt Daryl nod, "I'll go out on a run, look for some."

"I'll go too." Maggie said, Glenn nodded knowing he would go with her wherever she went.

"If we're going we have to go now, we're losing light." Daryl urged. The rest nodded. He patted my back, I looked up at him.

"You stay with Beth and Hershel, I'll be back I promise. Everything's gonna be okay." He assured, I nodded, wiping my tears. Daryl kissed my head and walked off to the vehicles. I went and stood by Beth, cooing at the baby as she kicked and writhed around in Beth's arms. I saw Glenn walking back towards us, he said they had to take Daryl's bike because the car wouldn't fit with the debris on the road, Maggie opted to go with him. We all went back inside, everyone was in their cells. It was silent, tense. I cleaned up the baby, drying her off, and putting her in clothes we had found beforehand. I propped my knees up as I sat on the stairs, placing the baby on my knees. She smiled as I held her tiny hands, her legs kicking as she giggled. She had Lori's eyes, she was really, a beautiful baby. Soon, she grew tired, Beth helped me prepare a makeshift crib for her as we laid her down to sleep. I went back downstairs and went to Carl's cell. I knocked, asking if i could come in.

"Come in." Carl muttered, his voice raspy and low. I walked in and sat down on the bed beside him. It was silent for a moment, until he finally broke the silence. "I thought about naming her after someone we've lost, like Sophia, Carol, Patricia. Something special." Carl looked at me.

"I think that's a great idea, that's very kind of you." I smiled softly at him. He nodded. A few moments later, Maggie and Daryl had came back. They had brought back enough formula to last us a couple months, diapers, clothes, and other things that would benefit the baby. I went and hugged Daryl, thanking him for going, and then Maggie. I prepared a bottle for the small baby, as Carl held her in his arms, rocking her back and forth. I handed him the bottle as he placed it in her mouth, she happily drank the liquid nutrients.

"What are you gonna name the little ass-kicker?" Daryl asked, referring to Carl's younger sister.

Carl shrugged, still feeding the baby. "I was thinking about naming her after someone we've lost, to honor them. Like Sophia, or Carol, or Andrea."

Just then, Rick had walked in. He had been gone for hours, Glenn said he tried to approach him but Rick only resorted to violence and anger, killing walkers mindlessly. He seemed to have calmed down, as he walked up to Carl, kissing his head and taking the baby from his hands. He smiled at her, admiring his newborn daughter. Hours passed as nighttime approached. Everyone had gone to bed, except for those that were taking watch in the towers. However, I couldn't sleep. My mind was wide awake, my heart raced. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, but I just had a bad feeling. I got up, wondering towards Carl's cell.

"Carl?" I whispered softly, entering his cell. He laid against the wall, comic book in his hands.

"Are you alright?" he asked, setting his comic down beside him.

I nodded, "I couldn't sleep, I just have this bad feeling, I don't know what it is. My minds racing and I didn't want to be alone, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, I know it's late."

"I couldn't sleep either, I keep thinking about things I shouldn't. But, you're not a bother, you're more than welcome to come to me at any point. I'm here for you, you know that." I nodded and Carl scooted over, patting the spot beside him on the bed. "Come here."

I smiled as I laid beside him, snuggling up close to him. He wrapped his arm around me, kissing my head. "Try and get some sleep, I'll be here if you need me, I promise." I hummed in agreement, too tired to say anything. I felt the exhaustion taking over my body as my eyes closed, soon falling asleep, as did Carl.

I woke up to see Carl's eyes staring at mine, his cheeks flushed as he saw me wake up, catching him observing my sleeping body. "Good morning" I mumbled, my voice raspy and dry.

Carl smiled, brushing a piece of hair away from my face. "Good morning sleeping beauty." I smiled, sitting up, and wiping the sleep out of my eyes. I yawned as Carl got up out of bed, grabbing his gun and knife, putting them in his holster belt after putting it on.

"How late is it?" I asked.

"I don't know, I haven't been up for long. Maybe 10, 11?" I groaned, I hated sleeping in late. Carl laughed and we both walked out into the cell block. I stopped in my tracks as I saw Daryl carrying a half lifeless Carol into her cell block. Carl and I ran towards them.

"I found her in solitary, she locked herself in, she's dehydrated but she'll be fine." Daryl spoke, placing a hand on my head. I nodded, watching Carols chest rise up and down, her breathing shallow. My attention was turned to Rick placing a young woman on the ground, she groaned in pain. Hershel, Daryl, Carl, and I ran out. She was covered in walker guts and blood, a gunshot wound on the side of her. She had a katana and a bag of formula. After arguing and the threatening the woman, she finally reveals that she was shot by a man that took Maggie and Glenn. They went on a run earlier to find supplies for Carl's younger sister, while the woman was running from this unidentified man, he found Maggie and Glenn, threatening them and taking them. She heard them mention a prison and a baby, so she came back here. I looked at Daryl, worry coursing through my veins. He gave me a reassuring look. Maggie and Glenn were taken?
