CHAPTER 2!

"I- WHAT ARE you doing here? You need to leave." I hastily move forward, expecting her to walk backwards, but instead she stays in her place resulting in our chests pressing together.
I freeze in place as heat radiate off both of our bodies as our breathing start to pick up. The sight of her lips slightly parting before her tongue slip out to wet them makes my eyes glue to the sight, not being able to tear my gaze away even after the movement is done.
Her lips glistening in the light makes them look so appealing, my mouth getting dry in the process as I just stare with my own mouth hanging agape.
"It's not nice to stare." She whisper with a soft smile, my breath getting caught in my throat before I lock eyes with her. They were wide and held an adoration in them, the sight making a small blush creep up on my cheeks as I fall quiet, too stunned to speak.
In the corner of my eye, I see how she slowly raise her hand and guiding it up to my cheek where she place it. Weirdly enough, I don't move away, I can't. It is like a pull that makes me not want to move, and even if I would, I don't think I can as it feels like my feet are glued to the floor. Kendall's thumb brushes against my cheek and I automatically lean into her touch, my eyes looking into her brown ones.
"You're so damn perfect. You know that, right?" She whisper as her eyes fill with sadness. I keep quiet, taking in her words, neither of us pulling away even though our hearts grow heavy with sorrow. Or at least mine do.
Kendall's lips slightly part whilst she take her free hand and hook her fingers under my chin, keeping her gaze on me. And only a second later, I see how our faces grow closer, her leaning in. My eyes flutter close as well as hers, but the impact of her lips against mine never comes. I just feel how her heavy breath fans my face, mine doing the same to hers.
The closeness makes me forget how to breath. I don't believe that I'm letting myself be so vulnerable once again with this woman who broke my heart before stomping on it. Everything's already a mess, so do I really want to add to it by kissing her?
"Stop." I breath out, taking a step back. The warmth I felt from the closure immediately slipping away. "I can't. We can't." I shake my head as to get my thoughts straight. "You need to leave. Now."
"No!" She shakes her head desperately. "I have been searching for you since the day you left and now you just want me to go home and make all that time be to waste? Absolutely not."
