"I-I-I STILL CAN'T believe it. Like, what? I have so many questions..." I nod along as I keep my eyes closed, slightly irritated as I imagine I will have to listen to him gasping and realizing for another hour. "For example, how the fuck did she find out where you live? There is so many continents, cities, and especially apartment that she could have knocked on except yours."
"Exactly my point. So guess how many questions I have." I mutter to myself, thinking he didn't hear, but by the fact that he goes quiet I furrow my eyebrows and open my eyes.
I turn my head and look over at him. He's looking up at the sky as he slowly shake his head, clearly having an inner battle in his head. "I'm talking to much, aren't I? Sorry." He rambles out with a sadden sigh.
The atmosphere quickly grows awkward and I purse my lips, trying to think of something to say that will lighten the mood. However, Tim beats me to it, voicing his thoughts first.
"God, I haven't even asked how you are doing." Tim lightly slap his forehead before turning to me with a worried glint in his eyes. "How are you doing, JL? Are you okay? I can't imagine what you must be feeling right now. What you must be going through." We keep a strong eye contact as he talks. "Gosh, your head must hurt from all your thoughts and different emotions. Ow, your poor brain."
I keep quiet, observing him as he's just rambling on and on as he sometimes mutter and mumble random things that enter his mind. It's like watching him have some sort of war with himself where different opposions and question continually enter his head as he's forced to voice ever single thing, word by word.
I clear my throat to get him to stop and bring him out of the gutter. He looks up at me with furrowed eyebrows before quickly looking around himself, realizing he's been rambling again. "Sorry. I'm doing it again." Tim realizes with a grimace. I chuckle a little bit at his flustered state.
With a shake of my head I dismiss his worries. "It's okay. I'm honestly used to it. Growing up with my sisters and mother has really prepared me. And given me trauma." I joke, a smile making it's way onto his face, seemingly making him forget about the previous override and explosion in his head. "Second, Kendall is a whole anxious and rambling mess so...yeah." I shrug before standing up from my chair, walking over to the door which leads inside his house. "Let's take the questions inside, it's starting to get cold and I'm really hungry. My stomach is growling for food."
The second I turn my back to him I hear him yell. "Wait!" I stop in my tracks and turn around to look back at him, only to find him standing up from his chair, picking up our empty beer bottles before walking past me and into his home.
