This is the revised prologue. I've dreamed about it, therefore I decided to switch it to Giyael's point of view soooo here ya go gays!!

Giyael's POV

What am I supposed to do now?

Watching either of them makes my chest cramp.

"Giyael, natalo ka nanaman ba sa lotto."

I turned my head at the voice, "Who told you you're allowed here?"

How did he even manage to get here? The way his smug grin was plastered on his face, I bet he bribed the guards because the event was exclusively for Manchester's students and employees only. This egghead isn't supposed to be here, ruining my day.

He grin, "Well, I told the golden guards, my fiancée is working here as a professor."

I glared at him, "How dare you."

"Allow me to accompany you today, madame," He grinned at me, his gut saying, "I could sense you needed me."

I eyed him forlornly, "Fuck off."

I cannot believe I am even talking to him after what he did last time. The audacity of this freak. My attention was caught by the shallow sounds coming from the piano. I unconsciously clinched my fist when I realized the song.

"And the show begins," I heard Reed's voice with a tone of excitement.

We have a 15-minute break, and during the commercial entertainment break, we'll have a special performer who will sing and will serve as the extent of the show. I could feel my heart twitching as the background instruments became louder and more apparent in everyone's ears.

Why does it have to be that song, out of all the songs that have been written in this convoluted world?

Take your eyes off of me so I can leave

Even though it was only the first phrase, I recognized the voice. I flashed my gaze to the theatrical stage, where the human figure of a lady was slowly emerging into the crimson drape.

And the audience fell silent at a couple of words, I presume they were as astonished as I was by the singer. Critically, who would have guessed?

I could also hear numerous noises and comments, but I overlooked all of them because my focus was solely on the theater production.

I'm far too ashamed to do it with you watching me
This is never ending, we have been here before
But I can't stay this time 'cause I don't love you anymore

It never occurred to me that she would be the performer, because the last time she was on that platform, battling for her life, was during the parade ceremony. I was flabbergasted as to why she was acting so strangely. She succinctly dislikes public speaking, as evidenced by her past refusal to make eye contact with the audience.

But now, she is not avoiding anyone. Oddly, because she's only staring at me.

Please, stay where you are
Don't come any closer

I fought the eagerness to spin my eyes when her lips arched casually in an evil manner. I sighed as I examined her entire appearance. She's dressed in a woman's black suit, which conforms to her splendidly. Her brown hair, cascading past her shoulders as she held the microphone in one hand.
