"Care to explain why Prof G keeps asking you to stay after class?" Jacob asked doubtfully.

I darted my eyes to Rose pero umiling lang siya, "Just because—maybe she was just feeling isolated and needed somebody to ruin her life and she spotted me."

Jacob wiggled his eyebrows, "And what's good with your company?"

I smirked, "Me."

They make a duhh face after my remark.

I continue eating my sandwich while they're discussing about sembreak vacay which I highly doubt I would enjoy since I need to work even on holidays.

"Malandi ka, puro ka kasi babae!" prangka ni Rose kay Iris.

Iris will miss a lot of her fun during sembreak to take a remedial course upon failing one of her subjects. While Jam and Lexi wanted to go home to their province in Nueva Ecija. And considering both Rose and Jacob's families reside in the same area of our school,  they won't need to travel far, so they took the chance to visit Japan for a short vacay.

And me being poor me, I'll be working my ass the whole sembreak. Can't even complain.

"Ikaw lia, wag mo sabihing magwowork ka?" Rose sipped on her drinks.

I nodded, "What else."

"Nooo, cannot. You need to get laid or come with us, treat ni Rosas," sagot ni Jacob na tinanguan ni Rose.

I just shook my head hopelessly.

Jam asked, "Wala ka bang ibang place na pwedeng puntahan?"

I bit my inner cheek, thinking a lot of places, "There's a lot e Conti, Brew, court and school."

Humalukipkip silang apat habang si Rose ay ngingisi ngisi lang, "Ang ibig niyang sabihin marami siyang babaeng uuwian kaya wag kayo mag-alala sakanya," sagot ni Rose sabay akbay sakin na inalis ko din.

They laughed, "Wait, we've been friends for months pero parang wala parin kaming kaalam alam sayo samantalang lahat ng baho ng apat lalo ang utot ni Iris," Jacob stated.

"Tangina talaga neto, ako nanaman nakita," bulong ni Iris na tinawanan lang ni Jacob.

"Yea, right, Lia?" Rose smile teasingly.

I rolled my eyes, "The intriguing part of my life isn't what you'd think. What else to know?"

"Girlfriend! May girlfriend ka na?" sabay sabay pa nilang tanong.

"Wala pa."

"Pa? So planning to have one. I thought you said you're straight," malokong ngisi ni Rose.

I shrugged, "It doesn't matter how I label myself, I am capable of handling either, but I'm not interested in relationship garbage, not even now and then."

They just ohh and followed by another question.

"Ex?" Lexi peered an eye on me.

I remained silent as I remembered him, "I guess I had one."

I'm not sure what to call him until now. Ex-lover, friend or wrong person, anyway.

Mapanukso nila akong tinignan, "Boy o girl?" Iris asked.

"Uy gender reveal," tawa ni Jacob.

I chuckled, "Blue."

"OMG so straight ka before?" gulat na tanong ni Jam.
