When we got to the club there were cars parked in the front and people, all of them teenagers, were waiting outside of the club. Zach went around and parked in the back since he worked there.
"You're not supposed to come in the back, buuuut since you're a special guest I guess I could let you in this way." Zach said while unlocking the door and holding it open for me.
"Oh why thank you my good sir." I sarcastically curtsied and scurried inside before he could grab me.
"Zach! You need to control your friends!" Jane shouted, "these boys are far too horny to be left alone for more than two minutes."
"I'm sorry, I thought they'd be able to control themselves, I apparently was very wrong." Zach responded while walking out to see Charlie and Thomas half undressed with boners clearly there.
"So sorry guys, I honestly didn't think you'd be able to hear us with all the fans going in the bathroom," Thomas apologized sweetly, looking extremely guilty.
"Well, we could," Jane responded, "Just don't do anything like that again and we'll be alright, got it?"
"Yes ma'am." Thomas and Charlie responded.
"Okay, everything's set up and we're ready to go, Thomas and Charlie I'll need you two to check IDs and hand out tickets, Zach get to the booth and get the mix up, and I'll be at the bar." Everyone moved to where they were supposed to be and I was just kinda there. I sat down on one of the couches and watched as people slowly started filling up the dance floor, no one I knew was here though. So I sat and waited until Thomas and Charlie were done to do anything, when they were done Thomas ran over and pulled me onto the dance floor.
"Dance with us girl!" He shouted.
"I'm sorry, I can only dance classically!" I responded. He wasn't taking that as an answer.
"Just move to the beat! Everyone is doing it, see?" I looked around and everyone was doing that, but it was mostly just jumping in place. I decided to at least join in a little, I started to sway to the beat of the music and I thought that was good enough. However, Thomas didn't so and moved me around more.
"Now you're doing it!" he cheered, grinding into Charlie and showing his more "adventurous" side. I kept lazily dancing and looking up at Zach in the DJ booth. He was super encompassed in his work, looking only at the computer and switchboards in front of him. At one point I noticed him looking down at the ladder leading up to the DJ booth. He looked panicked as a girl climbed up and started leaning towards him. I ran across the dance floor and made my way up the ladder to hear the girl slurring,
"You're really hot y'know, you should make out with me."
"Uhhhh, no thanks, I'm uh, I'm good, could you please, leave?" Zach stammered anxiously. I pulled the girl off him and got in between them.
"Hey, you should maybe come down with me, are you drunk?" I asked, I could smell some alcohol but I wanted the girl to confirm it.
"Yeh just a bit heh, my friends and I snuck some in, you're cool, wanna dance?" The girl responded slurring more.
"Sure, just come down with me, okay?" I got the girl to come down with me and brought her over to the bar where I knew Jane would be.
"Hey Liz! What can I get ya?" Jane asked.
"Well actually, this girl is really drunk and I think she needs to leave." I whispered pointing to the girl.
"Okay, thank you so much for letting me know, I'll take care of it and you enjoy the rest of your night." Jane said leaving the bar and walking towards us. She started talking to the girl as I made my way back to the DJ booth to check on Zach. I knocked on the bottom of the ladder and he looked down.
"Can I come up?" I shouted so he could hear over the music.
"Sure!" He shouted back. I climbed up and looked at him, he handed me a pair of headphones with a mic attached and pulled the mic down on his headphones.
"This is so we can talk and not shout." He said once I had the headphones on.
"Nice." I said looking at him. He blushed a little and looked down.
"Thank you for getting that girl away from me, there's always people climbing up here and trying to make out with me, it makes me super uncomfortable."
"No problem, I'd be uncomfortable with that too." I smiled. We looked at each other again when "Sad Song" by We the Kings started to play.
"This is my favorite song!" I said excitedly looking at Zach then quickly looking down.
"I know, I looked at your spotify playlists and saw that was your most played song." Zach responded. I looked back up at him while the music played. His eyes were so beautiful. I walked over and hugged him and we swayed to the music.Without you, I feel broke
Like I'm half of a whole
Without you, I feel torn
Like a sail in a storm
Without you, I'm just a sad song
I looked up at Zach and he was looking down at me. I buried my face into his neck when I felt his hand on my cheek. I looked up again.
"Your eyes are the prettiest shade of brown I've ever seen." He said.
"You have way nicer eyes than I do, they're such a beautiful color." I blushed looking away from him for a second. I stared back at him and got on the tips of my heels, he leaned down and kissed me.
