I woke up and looked to my left to see a snoring Anders. I smiled wondering about what we we're gonna do today, since it was my birthday.
I hopped out of bed and through on one of his really warm hockey sweaters and a pair of spandex shorts. I glanced before closing the door to see if he was awake, again, still asleep. He was so cute when he slept i thought walking down our stairs.
I made some tea and walked to our couch to watch some T.V and answer some birthday wishes from my friends and family. I was talking to my mom and i felt a head on my shoulders and arms around my waist. I glanced to see a sleepy Anders watching the highlights. " Good morning sleepyhead. " i smiled hanging up the phone and ruffling his hair. " Morning beautiful" he mumbled and fell asleep on my lap.
Throughout the day i kept laying hints of what day it was, but he didn't pick them up. I gave up at 4 when i asked what he wanted to do for dinner, i thought maybe he would realize he made reservations to a fancy restaurant but at this point, all i wanted was for him to remember.
I ended up making his favourite, which i loved doing but wasn't my plan. We sat down and i was just going to tell him." Anders, babe. Do you know what day it is? " i frowned. " Yeah ( YOUR BIRTH DATE )" He said confidently. His eyes went wide and a tear slipped down my cheek. " Y/N ! I'm so sorry! Holy shit! " he panicked getting up and grabbing me, pulling me in a hug. " it's fine, i overreacted." i said softly. " wait here, baby" he said running upstairs.
I was waiting for 15 minuets when i decided to walk upstairs to see what was going on. " Anders. It's fine. " i said walking into the room but paused in mid sentence. I saw rose petals and a huge teddy bear on our now-made bed. " Anders, where are you ?! " i said, looking with tear filled eyes. I heard the bedroom door close and i turned to see my boyfriend of 4 years on one knee.
