Quick Author's Note
If you haven't read MINE, you'll want to start there.
Due to prior issues with WTFPad, these chapters are published first on my website for copyright purposes. You can find the link in my bio. The site also contains my first story (deleted by WP for no clear reason), Liv the Music. It is an independent story unrelated to the MINE series, but it will always hold a special place in my heart since it was my first LT fanfic.
Thanks to WTFPad, chapters will always be published on the website first. I'll try to update here when I can, but I always post an announcement to at least let you know when a new chapter is available on the site. And thank you for sticking with me while I get my proverbial shit together.
One last thing...in my bio, there's a link to my Youtube channel. There, you can find soundtracks for each of my stories. However, I suggest you make sure you're caught up before pulling up the soundtrack. I carefully tailor the music to the story, and there might be spoilers if you get ahead of yourself. And please let me know if there's ever a broken link so I can fix it for you ASAP!
As always, thank you for reading and voting, and I look forward to your comments! I LOVE hearing from my readers!!!

Standing in the main warehouse, Laurent couldn't move or speak. He watched, powerless, as Monroe stood over Larry with a sickening grin on his face. Laurent tried to call out for the others, but his voice refused to cooperate.
Laurent's heart pounded like mad in his chest as Monroe crouched next to Larry, reaching out toward him. Larry's head fell to the side, his vacant eyes landing on Laurent as the rise and fall of his chest went still.
"Now you're mine forever," Monroe said, his voice distorted as though he was under water.
"It's okay, Lau. I'm right here," Larry's disembodied voice said, his lifeless eyes still staring at Laurent.
Nothing made sense. This wasn't how it happened. Where was Larry's father, Martin? Where were Shai and Eric and the guards?
"Lau, baby, I'm okay," Larry said, his voice so close Laurent could feel him.
Laurent sucked in a sharp breath as a hand touched his shoulder. Like being thrown in an ice bath, his body shot upright, his lungs burning and his heart trying to escape his chest.
"Larry," he gasped, reaching out in the darkness, his eyes darting around the room.
It took a second for his mind to register his surroundings as his hand landed on Larry's, his other hand scrubbing down his face.
"I'm fine, Lau," Larry said. "Come here."
The full moon was shining bright over the lagoon, light streaming in through the panoramic window and illuminating Larry's worried face in the darkness.
Laurent fell back into his pillow, rolling toward Larry and pulling him close. He pushed Larry's hair from his face and captured his lips, just holding him there and breathing him in.
"I'm sorry, baby," Laurent said quietly against his lips. "I didn't mean to wake you."
Larry held the side of Laurent's neck, his thumb sweeping his jaw. "It's not your fault," Larry answered, so calm and understanding it made Laurent's chest ache. "What was it this time?"
Extending one arm under Larry's pillow, Laurent wrapped the other arm around Larry, stroking his back in an effort to comfort them both.
"The warehouse," Laurent answered with a sigh. "Martin wasn't there."
