The following week seemed like nothing but pure chaos.

After meeting with the girls and exchanging info, Larry had started making calls to his contacts in the youth outreach community. He'd managed to set Caroline up with counseling, and he connected her with a social worker who could help her navigate the entire process. It was complicated given the situation with her family, and there could be issues with medical coverage...not to mention the fact that her parents could actually take legal action against people who helped Caroline if it wasn't done properly. Fucked up but true.

On top of navigating that minefield, both Larry and Laurent had tons of catching up to do after their absence. Larry had to get back up to speed on his charities as well as work, and Laurent had tons of his own business to manage.

Neither of them was particularly happy about how much time it took away from one another, but one thing they made sure of was that they always crawled into bed together at the end of the day.

By Saturday morning, they were both looking forward to some much-deserved time off, but Laurent did have one last thing planned for the weekend.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" Larry asked, his amused voice muffled seeing as how he was facing the floor.

A smile spread across Laurent's face, but he didn't bother answering. Instead, he continued to stare because from his angle he saw little more than Larry's ass and toes as Larry did his morning stretches, kneeling on the floor, face down with arms stretched above his head.

"MmmHmm," Laurent mumbled into his coffee cup, shifting slightly in his seat.

Putting his coffee aside, Laurent prepared himself for what he knew was about to happen, thankful for his ability to keep a straight face.

"By the way," he began cautiously, "I do have one thing I have to do for work this weekend."

Larry's head popped up, immediately cutting a glare over his shoulder, but Laurent continued.

"You can go with me if you want, but you don't have to..." he hedged.

With a heavy sigh, Larry raised up and turned to face Laurent, inching closer. "Whyyyyyyy?" he whined dramatically.

Laurent extended his arms as Larry crawled up onto the couch, flopping face down onto his chest. One hand sliding around Larry's shoulders, the other pushed his hair from his forehead where he rested his mouth, forcing his face to remain expressionless.

"It's fine, baby. You don't have to go. Shai will be disappointed. She was really looking forward to Vegas. But if you're not going, there's no need for her—"

Larry's head popped up, almost smashing Laurent's lip against his teeth. "Shai's going where to do what now?" he asked with a perfectly arched eyebrow.

Laurent felt his lips twitch in a hint of a smirk, but Larry didn't budge. The Eyebrow of Doom sat there, unwavering, vaguely threatening Laurent's life as it waited for more information...obviously calculating whether violence would be necessary... But even under the threat of death, Laurent couldn't help but notice how perfect the arch of Larry's eyebrow really was.

"The fuck you grinnin' at?" Larry asked, his tone laced with frustration.

"You," Laurent answered simply, as he traced Larry's eyebrow with a fingertip. Still, it didn't budge. "I've been planning on making some changes at Envy and there's a club in Vegas with a new feature I wanna check out in person," he explained finally. But his grin faded as he added in all seriousness, "I wouldn't mind your input if you wanna go."

Larry tilted his head a bit, studying Laurent closely. "You're asking if I wanna go to Vegas. Me...going clubbing...in Vegas..." he repeated.

"Was I unclear the first two times?" Laurent grinned. Then flailing his hands around in fake, gibberish sign language, he spoke slowly. "Do you...want to go...to Vegas?"
