At school, present time

Mei-Mei's POV

My friends and I were listening to another 4 Town song on the radio until a commercial said that 4 Town would be coming to Toronto soon.

"OMG! Did you guys hear that? 4 Town would be coming here in Toronto on the 15 of April!" Miriam said. Abby was jumping up and down already making plans to go until Priya said that our parents wouldn't let us.

"We went four months ago and even my mom started liking them," I replied. "But you're right they may not let us go again but maybe if I work extra hard my Mom might pay me and we can go to the concert," I said looking determined.

"Oh yeah! And let's ask Tyler too," said Miriam. The bell rang signaling everybody to go to class.

"Alright, it's a plan," Mei-Mei confirmed. Everyone nodded and headed to class.

After school

"Mei-Mei, come here please," I heard my mother call.

"Coming!" I put down my sketchbook and ran out of my room and into the kitchen where I could see my parents with grim expressions on their faces.

"What's...going on?" I asked hesitantly.

"Meilin, you might be upset but you are not the only one who can transform into an animal," My dad said.

"WHAT!? But how?" I said.

"There is another family like us but can turn into dragons at will or when they feel strong emotions like us, but they keep their beast and now they're coming here," my mom explained.

"But why are they coming here?"

"To meet you, it has been like this for hundreds of years. They've come to see who has now gotten the panda and since they are the descendants of the Dragon King, the one who gave our people life, we cannot refuse them. They will arrive in a few days," I nodded.

"Okay then," my parents smiled at me before leaving the kitchen. 'But why do they need to come and see me? I just hope this won't interfere with my plans to see 4 Town.'

Next day at school

"I'll see you later Mei-Mei," my mom said, giving me a small smile, I returned the gesture to her and turned to head to class.

"What's up, Lee?" Tyler asks as he caught up with me.

"Nothing, I'm just very busy."

"HEY MEI, HI TYLER!" I heard Abby scream.

"Hey guys what's up?" I asked.

"So, have you heard on the news that a really important family is coming here in a few days from Shanghai?" Miriam said.

"Yeah, they're like going to do some business here or something," Priya said in a monotone voice.

"No, I didn't, but now that you mention it, my parents did mention that a family from China wants to see me regarding my panda," I said now thinking about it.

"Why?" asked Mir. I shrugged and headed to class.
