I awoke to a soft knocking on my door. I yawned, got out of bed, put my robe on and headed towards the door.
"Who is it?" I asked looking through the peephole.
"It's a maid, Miss," came the response. I opened the door and looked at her. She was a little older than me, brown hair, black eyes, and overall a nice looking girl. I gave her my hand to shake. She hesitantly shook it probably thinking I would trick her but I'm not like my Mother or sister.
"Good morning, my name is Xia, what about you?" I said brightly. She looked flustered but a slow smile crept on her face.
"My name is Chang-Li, I came here to tell you that breakfast will be ready in fifteen minutes." I nod once beckoned her to follow me into my room.
"Why don't we talk," I suggested. Chang-Li looked at me, wide eyes and a gaping mouth.
"A-are you sure? I-I-I mean I'm not really the be-" she started to say but cut her off.
"I'm staying here for a few weeks and I need a new friend and I want you to be my new friend from Toronto," I said giving her a light smile. She smiled as well which made me grin wider.
"Okay, can you help me with my outfit please?" I asked her using puppy eyes. She laughed and nodded her head which made me do a little dance.
"You are funny." I bowed.
"Thank you." She giggled again.
"So we need to find you a outfit, right?" she asked looking at my closet, "Is it for a specific reason, are you going somewhere?" I sighed and nodded.
"I'm going to school, this is my first day." Her eyes widened.
"Well, then we need to make a good first impression," Chang-Li said determined. My new friend looked through my closet and picked out a few things after five minutes, she came out with a small pile of clothes.
"Here, I think this will compliment your skin nicely." She handed me the clothes to try on.
