Your POV

We just got off the airplane and walked to the limo that was waiting for us.

"Aunt Shui, why do we have to go here again?" my cousin Hana asked.

"Because there is a girl who recently transformed into a red panda and she has decided to keep it, which is odd seeing as her family banishes the pandas instead of embracing them," my mom said answering her question. My mom turned her focus to me, "Xia, you will go to a middle school for the time being as well as Hana and Sun-Hee., and I heard that the girl also goes to that school, I expect you to make friends with the Panda Girl."

"Yes, Mother/Aunt Shui," my cousins and I say at the same time.

"What's her name?" My older sister, Li Xiu, asked.

"I believe her name is Meilin but everybody calls her Mei or Mei-Mei." We nodded and I looked out the window not paying attention to the ongoing conversation.

We arrived at the Chinese part of Toronto.  I was amazed by everything, sure it wasn't as beautiful back at home but it had some traditional qualities. I heard someone make a gagging noise, I turned to see my stuck up sister have a sour look on her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked in confusion.

"I-its...that... well... its awful!  I mean like come on this is just nothing but a horrible rip off of Shanghai. Shanghai has beauty, grace, tradition, art, this is trash, garbage. The Chinese people who live here are obviously jealous of us they want to create a riot and defy us the Hans," my sister ranted, causing me to roll my eyes at her. She obviously got that trait from our mother.

But not surprisingly, Mother nodded her head and agreed. When I looked out the window I realized that we were already at the hotel.

"Well," my aunt started, "It's not fancy or anything but it'll do." I groaned, my family were such divas, my cousins though were the complete opposite of their mother they were nice and kind, at time, which is probably why I get along with them better.

"Xia. Come." I heard my mother call me I sighed and yelled, "coming." I hope that our stay here won't be bad I'm looking forward to meet the Pand- I mean Mei-Mei.

I noticed a couple boys looking at me this is nothing new of course I get stares like this back at home all the time. I smiled at them and followed my family.

"You each get your own room, I'll see in the dining hall for dinner, and tomorrow we will meet the Lee family." My mother said, well more like demanded, I was about to head into my room when Mother called.

"Xia!"

"Yes, Mother."

"Keep your Dragon from coming out, do you understand?" she said. I nodded and said "yes."
