Landon was incredibly disappointed with Hope. He didn't think anything like that would come from her. Hope left Landon for Josie so of course she loved Josie. There was no doubt about it.

"What the hell Hope!?" Hope shrugged it off and looked out the window.

"You don't get to do that Hope! You said you'd help me, not make it more impossible to get inside a damn house!" Hope could tell Landon was furious. Hell she was furious with herself.

"You don't know what happened between me and Josie so I suggest you leave it alone Landon! Stop treating me like a kid when you have your own shit to handle!" Landon stopped the car.

"You can't tell me to do anything! You just acted like a kid and you're complaining about me treating you like!? Maybe stop acting like one and grow up! Whatever happened, is in the past!"

Hope chuckled and got out of the car,"Go find yourself a new detective, I'm done and I'm going back home. Fuck you and this case." Hope slammed the door shut and began her cold walk back to her motel.

Landon sighed and got out of the car. He jogged up to her and once he caught up. They were walking side by side.

"Serious? That's all? You're just going to quit?" Hope nodded.

"Now you're going to give me the silence treatment. I mean I deserve it. We had a rough past too but what I don't understand is how you didn't lash out on me like you did with Josie." Hope stopped walking which caused Landon to stop as well.

"I didn't even lash out on her."

Landon knew the truth. Hope knew the truth. Josie knew a lie and nobody could go back and tell her different.

"Tell me right now why we broke up."

"Are you being serious right now? You want to talk about the past when there is a literal murder case YOU have to solve?" Landon nodded.

"I just want to know. I've been dying to know. Hell I've been drinking myself to sleep because of it Hope. You deserve me some truth and I deserve the closure."

"I don't owe you anything. I broke up with you because I didn't feel the love anymore" Landon laughed at that terrible joke.

"Good one. You and Josie were always together. You guys always hung out and I was left there to take every little bit of crumb of attention that you would drop just so you can keep me in line. In case something didn't work out between the two of you."

Hope scoffed at this. Yes he was telling somewhat of the truth.  But they had bigger matters on their hands.

"That's a lie. Go solve your murder." Landon shook his head. Which made Hope confused because you can't just leave a case unsolved and even she knew that.

"I need my partner no matter how much she gets in the way with her attitude so please just come back to the station and we can figure this out." Hope nods and they walked back to the car.

Josie was hurt, she felt betrayed, or well she didn't know how to exactly feel. Lizzie cleaned up dinner and Jade went to bed.

Josie kept drinking some wine mixed with tea. She knew it tasted horrible but she didn't care. Josie wanted to keep going with her daily tea and she even wanted something to make her a little tipsy.

Lizzie on the other hand, didn't entirely care about all that happened at dinner. She was more concerned with her son and her husband, Mg. She wanted to call them but time zones were different. They'd be out shopping or having fun with her mom.

"So Jo," Josie looked at Lizzie,"I was wondering and you don't have to answer but could Mg and my son come down for a few days."

Josie nodded. She couldn't keep family away from each other. She wanted Lizzie to at least feel more at home. "Thank you. Also we need to talk."

This caught Josie's attention. Lizzie sat down next to her sister who has became more quiet.

"Did you love Hope?" Josie was surprised by this question. She didn't know how to respond. All she knew was that their love was fake. Everything about them was fake. She knew that now.

"We shouldn't talk about Hope after the huge bomb she just dropped right at our feet." Lizzie knew this but she wanted Josie to at least get the girl that actually made Josie happy.

Lizzie knew Jade was bad news. She never liked her, not that she had any beef but she just screamed red flag.

"I know but I just want to know how you felt now that I know how she feels. You know to get some intel on what really went down. Ya know?" Josie nods at the statement or question. She wasn't sure what it was.

"I did love her but now I'm happily married with Jade." Lizzie frowned at Josie being happy with Jade. Josie saw the frown but didn't mention anything or even questioned everything. Which made her start thinking more, she never questioned anything once she heard about her dads death.

Which was entirely odd but everyone just thought she was trying to deal with it in her own way. Which she was because she didn't want to admit that she'd actually miss her father.

"I'm going to bed." Josie said and Lizzie nods. It was a long day, since she got no sleep so hopefully tonight she'll be able to sleep. If not it'll be the same thing over and over again.

Landon and Hope were back at the station. Landon went straight to his office and Hope followed. Hope had something to do and that was get rid of all the alcohol that Landon has been storing.

"What are you doing?" Landon asked as Hope searched through his entire office.

"Finding your booze. We need to sober you up if we're going to find this killer and while we sober you up. Take a break for a couple days. I'll make sure to call you if I find anything that is of good use." Hope smiled at Landon.

Landon sighed. He couldn't let Hope take all the responsibility of solving this case. This was his town now, he had to take control.

"I can't let you do that." Hope looked at him and went back to searching.

"Landon, if it makes you feel any better I'll go and apologize to Josie about my rude behavior tonight."

Landon shook his head. Hope raised an eyebrow and finally found all of Landon's stashed away drinks. She grabbed a trash bag and began to throw them out.

"Hope. Stop." Hope didn't stop though. She kept filling the bag up. She was looking out for him. Hope knew she was a bad friend and now she'll be better.

"Landon. Sit down. Relax and drink water. I know I've been gone for years and I haven't kept in contact with you but let me help you for once."

Landon didn't know what to do. He nodded and Hope smiled. They were finally becoming friends again. Hope was happy and Landon was starting to feel better about everything.

"Thank you Hope."

"You're welcome Lan." Landon smiled and laid down on his couch. He fell asleep then and Hope cleaned up his alcohol stash. Landon will become sober.
