Beep Beep Beep....

Whether it was a digital alarm clock inside Ink's apartment or a heart rate monitor that's right next to the injured student who came from camp.

As Killer carried the heavy weight of his foot to make a step, it gets heavier. Within these white anxiety inducing walls, was his friend, whom he accidentally harmed with his own power.
Presently, he was on his way to Nightmare's room inside the hospital. He was informed by Nightmare's own brother and he was told that their whole family would be there. As much as Killer wanted to refuse and escape, the guilt can never give peace to his mind. He had to appear and apologize, even if their whole family decides to sue him for attempted murder.

He arrived at the front door of the room, where he saw Nightmare's family just outside, talking softly and trying to comfort each other. Killer made them feel his presence as he stepped closer to them. The others looked at him in surprise. He breathed heavily while he attempts to initiate a conversation. "I-I...I..." He stuttered.
Perhaps it was time to finally let his pride down. First and foremost, he had no excuse to tell them whatsoever, it was pretty clear that his powers harmed Nightmare infront of many people. There was no cover for that. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it– it was an acci...dent." Killer hesitated for a moment. How was he gonna prove that it was an accident when he had a clear intention of hurting someone else, Nightmare just happened to stand in the way. "I apologize. I don't have the right say anything else but...sorry." He bowed his head. Dream felt bad that Killer was on the edge, it'll only take a yes or no from his parents to decide Killer's life.

"You've helped our family countless times already. We would never have gotten this far if it wasn't for your family." Dream's father spoke. "I trust that you mean no harm to my son, I know you two are very good friends. I...if it was an accident, I don't think you should be apologizing to us. But to him."

Killer sighed in relief it almost brought him to tears. "Thank you...for considering my efforts." He softly replied as he tried holding back his tears. The other nodded and Killer proceeded to open the door and enter the room.

He finally met eyes with him and he slowly made his way beside the bed. Nightmare was awake and Killer, this time, really couldn't hold his tears back anymore.

He's finally letting go of his pride completely. Nightmare watched him as he fell on his knees, his head hang low as he sniffs. "I'm sorry for everything. Not just the accident but everything I've been doing." He let the waterfall come out naturally. "I was selfish. All I wanted was my feelings to be reciprocated, I didn't know what I-I was doing 'til then. I'm really...sorry." Killer wiped his cheeks while still not making eye contact with him. He was too ashamed of his actions.

Nightmare knows how much effort Killer puts into doing a single thing. Getting to see the person with the biggest ego fall on his knees for him to apologize, was a shocker and something he never thought would happen. He did admire that Killer wasn't begging for mercy, he was genuinely just asking for forgiveness.

"Why would you...hurt Ink?" Nightmare spoke.

It felt like lightning struck Killer's soul. Still him? Killer pursed his lips. He was extremely hurt from the name dropping, how was he gonna answer that? "I...don't know how to say it."
He had no more energy to be furious about it, he felt as if he had no right to even react to it.

"I know you have feelings for me the same way I had for him. But I...don't think I can manage that right now." Nightmare replied. He did actually want to fix the thing between them, but how was he gonna do that if he's stuck on a hospital bed with his whole body wrapped in bandage and his orb was damaged. "I forgive you, and I'm sorry if I always get on your nerves."
