Killer ran swiftly through the halls just to get to Reaper who was still on a rampage. When he arrived, all he could see was a Reaper kneeling on the floor with his hands scratching his head. His yelling became louder by every second and students stood at a fair distance with their phones out to record the scene. Killer hated that these people were just sticking their phone business to Reaper rather than helping h or atleast informing the council. Killer carefully made his way to the suffering being and called him. "Reaper."
The other didn't respond, or rather couldn't respond. Reaper was experiencing a dark tantrum. His problems were all associated with darkness, at first he's only been brushing every feeling off but it seemed that he won't be able to brush this one as it violently tightens his soul.
Despite Killer being brave enough to approach him, there came a little amount of fear entering him. Considering the fact that he was below Reaper's rank, it would only mean that the other was way stronger and could destroy him in one blow. Not that Reaper would do that, but what if. "Reaper, what's wrong?" Killer raised his voice but made sure his tone was neutral, he wouldn't want him to react differently.
Reaper can only groan at that time, groan from the pain in his soul. Thus, he couldn't respond properly as he was still trying to ease the pain with screams and rough behavior. Killer couldn't take it anymore, his shouting was now concerning. Without another thought, he quickly ran towards Reaper and approached him carefully. Little did he know he'd have his arms aggressively grabbed by Reaper, it almost seemed like a a gesture of calling help. "I-it hurt...s..." Reaper tried to talk, he was able to but it was stutters. If Killer didn't listen carefully, he wouldn't have heard him properly at all.
Killer then grabbed Reaper's shoulders. "Hey, calm down!" He spoke to him. He wasn't shouting but only he raised his voice since he didn't want anyone to hear him talking softly. Sadly he couldn't let go of his pride even at times like these. Reaper then started breathing heavily, and before his last pant, he inhaled aggressively like it was the last time he'll be able to suck air.
By the time he exhaled, the pain had completely stopped and Reaper was now breathing normally. Everyone else in the background, including Nightmare's group, were gossiping about what just happened. They were all thankful that it stopped, but nothing stopped them when posting it online, stating,
'Is it just me or are the Top 3 experiencing literal chaos recently?'
It was no lie that they've been put under pressure, even Nightmare was forced to ignore everything when sometimes he couldn't.
When Reaper felt okay, Killer let go of him and stood up, giving a hand to Reaper for him to stand too. "What happened to you?" Killer asked.
"Let's talk somewhere else." Reaper sighed, eyeing the whole entrance where the students stood. Killer nodded and followed him from behind, seeing him enter the council room with no one inside.
Reaper sat down comfortably, taking deep breaths before he could explain everything. Killer first grabbed a cup of water from the container before sitting on his own chair to listen. The other had finally stopped and felt that he had to tell it now.
"Do you remember what I said before the settlement of the DE event?" Reaper started, receiving a nod from Killer.
"That...feeling. It's been bothering me up until now. I-it was never severe before but now I felt like I was getting killed! It almost feels like they're here." He exclaimed.
"Who?" Killer questioned, attempting to take a sip from his drink.
"The Keeper of Dark Souls." Reaper replied when suddenly he heard the other spit the water and choke. Killer coughed roughly before looking back up in shock.
"That's a fucking fairytale." Killer reacted.
"Not anymore."
Killer then furrowed his eyes in disbelief. The concept of The Keeper was taught to them back in Freshman. It really sounded like a legend, but seeing Reaper in that situation made him wonder if it was real or not. "How can you be so sure?"
