Ink felt horrified, if he turned around, would it actually be Nightmare?

Or would he witness a push from some stranger then finally realize who it is at the last minute before his death?

Turns out it was neither.

"How interesting." Someone spoke. Ink was able to recall that voice, but he was too shocked to turn around.
Ink will eventually have to face them in order to save himself. He pulled his feet back on the floor and stood up before deciding to finally turn around and face this person. He let out a soft gasp, he was not expecting him at all.

"You're in my spot." Killer took another step forward, narrowing his eyes at the other's feet.

"I..." Ink thought for a moment how he would reply to such words. Instead of replying through words, he responded by stepping away from where he stood at and let him have it.

"I was joking." Killer softly laughed that got Ink confused.

For the record, Ink should be feeling a certain emotion towards this man. He was about to get hospitalized because of him. But he was too fed up with the fact that he had dome something as worse as that to his friends. Though it did got him thinking how Killer knew about this cliff for it wasn't a common attraction and he's pretty sure only he and Nightmare knew the place.

Thinking about it, he felt connected to him in a certain way, it almost seemed like they were going through the same thing.

"I didn't think you'd be here." Killer sat on the ground, not bothering to look at Ink as it didn't feel necessary.

"I needed comfort." Ink finally replied.

Killer let out a soft laugh of amusement. "This cliff isn't a place for sweet words." He took something from his pocket and pulled it out. A box of cigarette and a lighter. He snatched a stick and afterward lighting it with his lighter. He then started smoking with ease. "This is a place for redemption."

Ink inhaled deeply, though he almost coughed at the smell of Killer's cigar.

"Did you know that it takes a year for ants to build a foot only to get destroyed by another creature?" Killer spoke in a calm manner. "They work together as a team, thinking they can outstand anyone in their way. But what they don't realize is that there will always be someone who can step on it. Crush it. Destroy it." He inhaled before releasing the smoke from his mouth once more. "And it's the ants' fault because they were being too careless and full of themself. They want to say sorry on both parties, because they finally realize how inconsiderate they were. But no matter how much confidence slaps them, they felt scared."

Ink was still standing by, keeping quiet to avoid arguments. However, he starts to understand what Killer was trying to say. At first he thought it was just a fun fact about ants and their habitat, but as Killer went into details, he starts to think that he was explaining his situation. Although, Ink was too confused to understand it as a whole, the only thing he knows is that Killer wants to apologize for something.

"Right, you're not much of a talker when I'm around." Said Killer, returning the stick to his mouth.

Ink was about to say something but immediately figured it was unnecessary so he just kept his mouth shut. For some reason, he wanted yo stay and listen to whatever Killer is about to say. He doesn't have much to do and he might gather some information from him too.

It took Killer a few more blow before he could bury the stick on the ground, getting rid of the heat.

"Have you visited him?" Killer asked.

Ink assumed it was none other than Nightmare, almost everyone knows Nightmare was in the hospital. "I have." Ink replied.

"How is he?"
