"Wow." Killer spoke in a sarcastic tone, uninterested at what he's looking at. He let out an irritated chuckle, clenching his fist from his side. "The world is really small, after all." He scoffed. The whole council meeting was already a pain and now this?
Nightmare felt very tense deep inside as he look at Ink, but he seemed to be hiding his nervousness. After causing a shameless scene in their school, he finally felt embarrassed to express his emotions in front of him. Ink pursed his lips all of a sudden to prevent him from yelling. Well I wish it wasn't this small! He thought to himself as he starts to regret joining them in the first place just to see the people he's been avoiding the most. He sighed quietly, he could tell that none of them were delighted to see one another, even him. He turned to see his two friends trying their best to avoid eye contact with the people in front of them. Cross felt uneasy. He hasn't told anyone, especially Dream, that he took his phone the day Dream ran away from the misleading look of his situation with a bunch of girls. Dream kept his cries within, he chose to look somewhere else than stare worriedly at Cross. Blue, however, felt a bit angry but not too much. It's not like he despised these people, he only felt uncomfortable since his friends felt the same way too.
For the record, Nightmare hasn't spoken since he got there, he only listened to Dust and Horror's, the troublemakers, plan.
Not long after their reactions, Ink cleared his throat intentionally, drawing everyone's attention as he pull a blue colored bowl that's filled with 4 pieces of tempura, a packet of sauce beside the food and is also topped with a small glass lid to cover the food. He pulled the lid off the bowl and took his chopsticks. "I thought shrimps are bad for asthmatics." Killer laughed shortly and softly as he plaster a mocking grin at Ink, who is now looking back with an irritated face. He clearly knew what the other meant and man it made him felt furious deep inside. Ink chose to ignore him and munch on his food instead, Killer doing the same. The others too. Nightmare had too much in mind and so he prefers to keep quiet than burst out and cause a mess.
He glanced at Killer for split second before pulling his eyes back to his food.
No matter how much Ink and the others wanted to chatter, they couldn't bear having Nightmare and everyone else stare at them as they have fun. So they ended up eating quietly.
Cross kept glancing at Dream then to his food back and forth, he was struggling to open his mouth and start talking about his phone. After a lot of plotting in his mind, he finally mustered up the courage to talk. He first cleared his throat not too loudly and looked at Dream. "I-"
"Here are your Iced Tea, fellas." The waiter interrupted unintentionally. Causing Cross to pull his face to his other side where he hoped Dream wouldn't notice his now plastered sour face made from failure and embarrassment. "Thanks." Ink smiled at the waiter as he places a large glass of Iced Tea on their table. It wasn't long until Dust noticed a few floating powder grains in Ink's drink. "Isn't that...the alcohol powder I put in someone's drink?" Dust whispered to Horror. This caused Horror gasp quietly after hearing Dust. "Alcohol powder? I thought you said that was chili powder!?" Horror whispered back loudly at Dust. "If I said that then you wouldn't have helped me." Dust replied.
"Are you nuts!? Do you even realize who you're trying to pull pranks on!?" Horror continued to whisper at Dust.
"Yeah, the silly orphan." Dust sneered at Ink. Ink not bothering to look back.
"If Nightmare finds out you spiked his drink he is so going to kill you tonight." Said Horror, a little fear entering him, knowing that Nightmare might spank him too since he was part of it. "You know, for a guy who's boring to talk to such as you, you're pretty brutal with your actions."
"Just get the drink away from him." Dust punched Horror's arm. Horror hesitated to go near Ink and take his drink, it would seem rude and suspicious. Before he could even plan his way through, Ink had already grabbed his glass and drank half of his drink. The one with the alcohol." It's kind of new."
The two gasped softly in response, covering their mouths. Nightmare heard the soft gasps that made him glance at them with his brows furrowed. He stared at them for a while, it automatically meant 'what was that?' to the two. "Nothing." Horror replied, acting as if nothing important happened. "You'll be dead twice." Horror whispered a threat to Dust. The other only scoffed and looked at Ink, observing his change of behavior.
Ink started to smile all of a sudden for no visible reason. Killer immediately noticed it and grinned in amusement. He is weird. Wonder how Nightmare fell for that. He thought to himself.
