When Ian woke up he was facing the opposite direction than when he fell asleep. He turned his head to look at Amber. Ian began to panic as she was gone. He got up quickly and got dressed and ran downstairs. "Where's Amber?" He asks Fiona. "Outside." She points. "Don't worry I've been keeping an eye on her. She's sitting on a beach chair." She explains and Ian hurries outside.
When he went outside he noticed she was curled up into a ball and shaking. "Amber? Are you alright?" Ian asks while walking to her. Amber lifted her head and groaned. Her face was completely pale and she looked like death. "Should I take you to the hospital?" Ian asks while touching her shoulder.
Amber shook her head. "Withdrawal?" He asks and Amber shakes her head yes. "Come on I'll take you inside-" He went to grab her and pick her up but Amber slightly pushes him away. "No.." She mumbles. "Are you sure? Its cold out here and you're shivering.." He says and Amber shakes her head again. "If I move I will find a dealer. I'm not moving." She says with a shake of her head.
Ian sighs, "Alright.. I'm going to get something to eat okay?" He says while touching her shoulder, she nods. Ian heads inside and sighs again as he pours himself some cereal. "You alright?" Fiona asks, Ian nods. "No. She's so... Sick." Fiona nods sadly. "Heroine withdrawals will do that to you. Sweating, nausea, agitation, craving for drugs.. And that's not even half of it." Fiona explains. "Do you think she'll be okay?" Ian asks. "Yeah, eventually. Once she's feeling better, getting back on her meds I think she'll be alright." Fiona says with a slight shrug.
"For now it's best to just leave her be. She won't want to eat, drink, or sleep until she's not feeling like death." Ian nods. Ian ate his breakfast, poured Amber a glass of water, and went back outside. "Here. You need to drink this." You hesitantly took the glass from him and took a sip.
You gagged when the water hit your throat, nausea hitting you like a truck. You were able to keep it down for a good minute before quickly handing Ian back the glass and leaning over the side of the chair, throwing up whatever you had left in your body. "Okay you seriously need to go to a hospital-" "I am not moving." Amber repeats. "Amber you're going to get dehydrated. At least let me bring you inside." Ian says while going to grab her. When he touched her Amber smacked his hands away harshly.
"Don't fucking touch me Ian." Amber warned. "I'm trying to help you." Ian says with a sigh. "I don't want... Your fucking help." Amber slurs out. "Why are you being like this?" Ian asks. Amber scoffs. "Ian do you know what it feels like to go through a withdrawal?" Amber slurs out. Ian let out a 'no' quietly.
"It feels like someone is setting me on fire from the inside out. So will you please... Leave me the fuck alone." Amber hissed again, her voice cracking as tears filled her eyes. Ian rolled his eyes as he looked at his watch. He sighed at the time. "I have to go or I'll be late for work.. I'll see you later." He says while placing a kiss on the top of her head. "Just.. Try to take some sips when you feel better okay?" He says while placing the glass on the ground next to her chair. Ian walked off and Amber watched him walk away until he was out of view. She knew he was trying to help but at this point she just needed to help herself, anyone else's help would make her feel worse.
As the time ticked by Ian worried more and more. He was just waiting for a call from Fiona or Lip telling him you were in the hospital or dead. But.. It never happened. He closed up Kash And Grab and went home quickly. He was honestly expecting her to still be on the chair outside but she wasn't. He walked over to her chair and noticed the vomit spot next to her seat was larger than what it was. It was mainly just water and bile from the lack of eating but it was still noticeable. Ian noticed the empty glass on the ground and he slightly smiled.. At least she tried.
He picked up the glass and entered the home. He saw Fiona doing the dishes before she turned her head at the noise of the door opening. "Hey Ian. Oh thanks for bringing that glass in, I was just about to go and get it." She says while turning to the dishes. "There's leftovers in the fridge." She says. As Ian was taking off his jacket he noticed a familiar figure on the couch.
Amber was laying on her stomach on the couch with her hair sprawled over her face and a few blankets over her body and a small trash can on the ground in front of her face. "How was she?" Ian asks. "Other than the consistent vomiting not bad. She was better than what she was this morning." Fiona says with a shrug. "How did you get her to come inside?" Ian asks. "I didn't. A few hours after you left she came back inside. She was slightly stumbling but other than that she was alright." Fiona says while moving next to Ian to look at her. "After she laid down I put a blanket over her but when Debbie got home she decided it wasn't enough and put two or three more on her." Fiona says while crossing her arms over her chest. "I gave her a tiny bit of mashed potatoes from dinner but she just nibbled on it. I also gave her some water and she took a few sips without barfing. It's something at least right?" Fiona says.
"Yeah.. It is." Ian says with a sigh. Ian walks into the living room and sits on the coffee table. He lightly places his hand on Amber's shoulders and rubbed them. The sensation alone was enough to wake her up. Amber opened her eyes and moved the hair out of her face. "Hey. How are you feeling?" Ian asks. "Like shit." Amber answered truthfully with a slight rasp in her voice from the lack of water. "But I haven't thrown up for a few hours." She says while nodding her head to the empty trash can. "Mm.. Did you throw up all the water I gave you?" Ian asks.
Amber shakes her head no. "I was able to keep the last gulp down." She says with a yawn. "That's when I decided to come inside." She explains. "Okay... Do you want to go to sleep in my bed tonight or do you want to go into your room?" Ian asks. "I'm fine here. This couch is comfy." Amber says while snuggling into the couch cushion. "And don't worry about me. It'll take a while but I'll be okay." Ian nods. "Goodnight." Ian says. Amber mumbles a 'night' and closes her eyes. Ian stands onto his feet and heads for the stairs. He was halfway up the stairs before looking back down at her. She'd be alright, but just as she said... It would take time.
