4- Part 1

Sage's POV

"Shush, you'll wake her up!"
"No! You shush!"
"Be quiet Vylad!"

The two hushed voices couldn't have been very far from the bed I was laying on, it was kind of funny how they attempted to yell at each other without actually yelling. I've managed to assume that the second voice belonged to Laurence, at least, I think he sounds like that. Maybe I should play around with this opportunity a little bit, they haven't seemed to notice I'm awake.

"I have to admit, she is a cute sleeper." The voice that was apparently Vylad's softly mumbled, I heard a small groan of annoyance too.
"Dude, just because you don't get any action doesn't mean you can pull a Travis." Laurence mumbled back with sarcasm lacing each word, I could only guess that he rolled his eyes after saying that.
"Hey!" Vylad yelled, then Laurence let out a muffled 'ow!' and a loud thump could be heard. The two seemed to be wrestling in a way, at least, from what I could see with the one eye now open. Another thump was sounded but this time it was a tad louder, Vylad was now on the floor too.

I may have accidentally snorted a laugh whilst trying to contain my giggles, causing both boys to stop wrestling immediately and stare precariously at me. My eyes were squeezed closed in hopes they wouldn't catch me awake. I heard light footsteps and now what felt like a hand was resting on my left cheek.

The hand gently glided up towards my ear, brushing past it and resting on the crown of my head. Or at least I thought. The hand moved further upwards past my head and I wasn't aware of its whereabouts now, that was until a few seconds after a pillow came smashing down onto my face, the hand pushing its entire weight onto the pillow.

"LAURENCE! YOU'RE GOING TO SUFFOCATE HER!" A muffled voice yelled and a rather loud 'ow' was followed, I couldn't make out what was really happening because my face was currently being smushed by a freaking pillow. A pillow, of all things that could end me. It just had to be that.

I started feeling a bit lightheaded and the hand must've read my mind because the pillow was removed and thrown to the floor, along with what seemed to be a battered Laurence.
"Are you okay?" The guy I assumed to be Vylad asked me. I nodded, obviously.
"It was a pillow, I'll be fine. Besides, it's all just fun and games." I smiled as innocently as I could and got up from the bed, walking out of the cabin as if I wasn't just involved in an attempted murder.

I passed a lady with light blue hair whilst looking for Aphmau, she seemed very pale. I did ask if she was okay but she just nodded and gestured for me to bugger off, reasonably enough if you ask me.

"Sage! Hey!" A squeaky voice called - it was Aphmau, rapidly waving me over. I could only get halfway before she ran the rest of the small distance and tackled me in an air-free hug.
"Aphmau, as much as I appreciate the affection, we only met a few hours ago. Or at least I think so, I can't remember much. Either way, why are you being so kind to me?" I managed to blurt out with much restraint to my air supply. The smaller girl just smiled and squealed out something I couldn't understand and then untangled me from her grip before running off below deck.

The gruff voice behind me had let me put two and two together. I have to admit, it made me slightly jump when Mr. Mysterious asked me if I felt okay.

"Yeah, I feel fine. How has Mr. Lonely been recently?" I replied teasingly, why not start a conversation?

Yes, you read correct, it's a part 1 in a whole chapter. That probably doesn't make sense. I no longer care.

I've decided to make around 2-3 mini parts to make up into chapter 4 because at the moment my planning is all over the place and I just can't find a way to add onto this chapter as it is. Around 656 words isn't where I'd like a chapter to end and so I'm going to gradually make up for it by putting in mini parts within chapters.

The next few chapters and/or mini parts will be written and uploaded gradually within a week ( I hope ) so keep an eye out. :)

Writers block and depressive episodes have kind of hit me in waves since break started, I'm really sorry about that. I've just kind of used the time I didn't want to use by bingeing and rewatching Avatar : The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra. I'm also kind of planning to rewatch all seasons of Winx Club too..
As you can see my schedule is totally very full. Totally. Not being lazy, just busy. 😤😤
