"Vernon Dursley-"

"Don't let my name in your filthy mouth you magic scum!!" Vernon's spit sprayed as his face turned red, then purple.

For the first time since this trial started people ignored the declaration that people may not talk unless called on or comforting Damien and angry whispers filled the Great Hall. Most of the people in the hall thought magic was an amazing thing, although there were some halfbloods or muggle borns who had relatives who thought like that. It was sad that the person they had all thought was treated like a prince had actually had to deal with people like this. They were glad that they weren't on trial too, but a few of them had gained bruises or small cuts with unknown causes, that may have been their small punishments for how they treated him.

"I want to kill him. I should have hexed him in second year." Ron growled, his gaze practically crackling with electricity as they were fixed on the unpleasant man.

"I know Ron, but if you did then you would have gotten all of you in more trouble than you already were. Maybe we can punch him after he's been sentenced." Hermione whispered, her glare one that could freeze an active volcano.

"We?" Ron asked, giving her a small glance before going back to glaring.

"You really think I don't want to hurt them too?" Hermione asked, with a dangerous laugh.

"You're right, my apologies." Ron nodded, slightly awkward.

The Concepts didn't do anything to quiet the angry whispers and talking in the hall, in fact they hardly bothered to hide small smiles as they listened to what was said. Vernon, however, found himself unable to speak until the chatter died down.

"Well, I think this is all the evidence of you being guilty that we need." Time said, their eyes filled with mirth and contempt as they looked down at the large man who was seething himself.

"But I think the people here deserve to know what you've done." Magic said in a dangerously gentle voice, like a light in the sea.

"You physically abused the child you believed to be the relative of your wife, taking joy in it, making him your household scapegoat. At the end of every school year you would chastise him for not dying that year, and you would feed him as little as you could. He was locked in the cupboard under the stairs as a punishment, and kept him in there like equipment until he got his Hogwarts letter." Fate explained, not looking at the man whose face was changing colour drastically. It probably wasn't a good sign, but nobody was worried about him.

The Slytherins close to Damien were glad he had fallen asleep, and it seemed to be a deep sleep, as the hall filled with anger again, this time though it seemed to be focused in both Slytherin and the section of Gryffindor he had always been in, at least it seemed like they still accepted him, or at the very least cared.

"Even after he got an actual room, you would still call that room your son's second bedroom, starve him, overwork him, and treat that room like his prison cell." Time continued.

"I told mum about the bars on his window! I told her and she just threatened to put them on my windows!" Ron yelled, taking Hermione back as he stood up, slamming his hands on the table.

Over at Slytherin Fred and George looked horrified as they too remembered the confrontation with their mother before Damien's second year after they saved him. They had all taken the bars on his windows as something being wrong, but as Molly hadn't seemed to have much of a response to it, they just assumed that she knew better and it really wasn't serious.

"Bars on his window?" Blaise asked immediately, looking at the twins, Damien's hand still in his.

"Before his second year he wouldn't respond to any letters Ron or Hermione sent him, and Ron didn't know how to use the phone, so we decided to go rescue him. When we got there he was thinner and slightly paler than normal and there were bars on his window that we had to break off to get him out. Mum yelled at us for stealing the car and Ron told her about the bars on his window so she threatened to put bars on our windows." The twins explained swapping so much it was impossible to tell who was speaking when, even switching in the middle of words, but they never spoke over each other, something that impressed the other Slytherins.

"Why would she say something like that, did she say that in front of Damien?" Draco asked, annoyed.

"Yes, but she had just woken up to find us and the car missing. She was also worried about how he wasn't responding to the letters and she and dad were coming up with a plan to go get him, but we got there first. I don't know if she apologised, but she would always make sure to give him lots of food, which is the way she shows love to people, especially family." Fred and George explained in the same manner.

"As she's not up there I'm guessing she wasn't deemed as someone who was too serious in this case. Maybe her punishment was like Draco's." Blaise said, the teen he was talking about having also gotten bruises and a small cut after Damien was revealed.

"Well, now it's time for your punishment!" Magic smiled brightly, clapping their hands. "Like your wife you must work under the wix with my gifts, however unlike your wife you will be put through pain like everything you put Damien through in a single moment every time you so much as thinking of someone who didn't cause you direct harm. You will be working to take care of the ill. You must do exactly as you are told, unless doing so puts a life in danger. You may only take time off if you are ill, or if you are getting the minimum amount of needed sleep."

Vernon's lips moved, and his spit went everywhere for the few moments he was remaining in the room, but he was unable to get any noise to come out of his mouth. Fate waving their hand, causing him to disappear to the kitchen like the others who had punishments of work.
