Chapter 16 I'm going home (there are non-real people in this obviously but Quackity's brother is not actually his brother and idk about the nephews, but just know not everyone in this is real!)(also I don't know Spanish...sorry)

Alex had been wandering the halls of the castle for maybe 10 minutes. He had been looking for his friends who seemed to just disappear. Moping around the halls he heard some laughter from the side room. Perking up at the sudden noise, he quickly rushed over, only to find a few workers messing around with some beer bottles. Looking around for a familiar face, he spotted Schlatt.

"Hey baby" Schlatt hiccuped and belched the most disgusting thing Alex had heard all day, and it was 10 am.

"Why don't you come on over!" The people around him laughed at this guy's antics. Alex shook his head hard.

"I..uh... I'm good." Alex left the room of men laughing. He walked away, now upset that he didn't have anyone to hang out with. The halls were quiet. His shoes were the only thing heard in the long hallway.

On one side, were giant windows, stained glass in some parts, making the room a beautiful mix of colors.

The other side was a mural. It was filled with people rejoicing the king, and the looks of another kingdom walking away with a white flag. There were people happy, dancing, and praising their king.

Alex didn't like that wall.

If he had the choice, we would tear down the wall and fill it with pictures of the modern-day world.

Wilbur had just entered the hallway and looked up to see Alex standing there. His face showed no emotion.

"Alex!" Wilbur waved down his friend. Alex nodded his head, not waving back.

"What are you doing?"

"Looking." his voice was dry.

"It is a nice mural, isn't it?"

"..." Alex didn't respond, he just looked down. Wilbur noticed his change in attitude.

"Alex? What's wrong?"

He sighed knowing that Wilbur would not let this go. "It just... this painting bothers me so much, like why are the people praising this guy? All he did was commit mass amounts of murder and proclaim the land. He's literally standing on the other king's head!" Alex was fuming. He had never told anyone before that he didn't like the history of this place.

Wilbur stood there and listened.

"Like, I understand you won a war that only you knew was happening, but does it need to be plastered everywhere? And this isn't even remotely accurate to what happened.'' Alex looked over at Wilbur who looked puzzled.

"Is this not what happened?"

"Those people, being slaughtered, are from my home. That is where I grew up." Alex whispered. Wilbur placed his hand on Alex's shoulder, bringing some sort of comfort to the boy.

"Tell me more."

"Hu?"

"I want to know more about your home. Maybe if we tell George how this is inaccurate to history, he would be willing to tear it down." Wilbur suggested.

"You would do that for me?" Alex pleaded.

"Hehe no, I would help you! This is your home, your family. You deserve to tell the story of what truly happened." Wilbur smiled. Alex gleamed in the light. His dream of wrecking this wall would finally come true.
