Ana's POV:
"Bye Brooklyn!" I say as I start to walk to the detention room. I get in and I see Kadena and Molly just chatting. I come closer to reveal that they're talking about Ash and Luke. I check my phone for the time. It's 3:45. I have five minutes to waste. I put my headphones in and "ghost of you" by my chemical romance starts playing.

It's 3:57 and Kole has yet to show up. He texts me.
K: can you cover for me plz?
A: if you tell me why your ass isn't in here
K: I kinda ran into Faith, I tried telling her I had detention but she wouldn't listen
A: yikes sorry yeah I'll cover
K: thanks!
I put my phone away and coach Swanson is on duty. Well damn. "Excuse me?" I hear his voice boom. i look at Gisselle and she nods. I did say that out loud. Swanson gives me a death glare and I slump down into the desk.

He takes roll. "Kadena Harper?" She raises her hand. "Molly Harrison?" She raises her hand. "Calum Hood?" the Asian raises his hand. "Analiah Lowe?" I raise my hand. "Gisselle Roberts?" hand goes up. "Kole Waters?" He finishes. "Kole?" He asks again. "He went to the bathroom a minute ago," I cover. He looks at me skeptically. "I'll go check," Swanson says. I quickly text him.
A: code red! Look like you're getting out of the bathroom by the detention room! Swanson heading down!
K: why?!?!
A: I covered...
K: I'll sprint thanks for buying me time tho:)
I put my phone down.
Kole's POV:
"Faith I gotta go," I say but she gets a hold of my wrists. I yank my hand away. "But Kole," she says. I roll my eyes and sprint. Swanson is old and doesn't speed walk. I have some time. I sprint down and get into the bathroom. As I'm entering I see a shadow coming around the corner. I get into a stall to regain my breath. I hear the door open. "Waters?" He asks and I reply. "You have one minute to get to detention before you get an extra day," he warns. He then leaves. I sigh in relief and text Ana.
K: your a life saver:)
A: it's my job.)
I walk down to the detention room. "No talking, texting, sleeping, reading. You can leave at 5:00. I'll check up on you every 10 minutes," he explains then leaves. Kadena, Gisselle and Molly start talking, I walk up to Ana, but I see Calum there. "Yeah I'll talk to Tori for you," she says then smiles. He walks off and gets his phone and headphones out. Ana puts 9 minutes on her phone. This is so we have a minute to look like little angels. I look at her and smile. "What was that?" I ask referring to Calum. "He has a schoolgirl crush on Tori," she explains. "It's so cute," she continues. We plop down into two desks. We just talk about random things. "How'd you think we did on our science project?" I ask her. It was due yesterday and it looked perfect. The background was white paint and galaxy hair dye. It worked out better than I than I thought it would. The facts were great. The whole thing looked so professional. "With my limited art skills, Karson should be impressed," she says. We then pick up coach Swanson's stress ball. All 6 of us start throwing it as hard as we can at each other. I Calum throws it at Ana's face, but she ducks. The stress ball then flies out of the window. We all gasp. There's a big hole in the window. Analiah's phone goes off. We have a minute to clean this up and sit back down. Ana and Calum cover the window with the blinds. Gisselle and Molly pick up the glass. Kadena and I erase the hangman off of the board. Once that's all done we sit where we're supposed to. Swanson comes in a minute later. I see the glass glistening from the trash can. As long as he doesn't look in that general area, we'll be good.

Ana's POV:
5:00 rolls around and all of us run out of there. We broke a school window! Once all of us are at least a block away, we stop running. We then all start laughing. If we broke a window on the first day of detention, I wonder what bad things will happen for the rest of the week...
