When the castle was asleep, Christian silently got out of his bed and started packing his bag with supplies that may be necessary. He had no idea where he was going but he had time figuring out that part later. His packing included his sword and knife and some other supplies that may be needed. He looked down at his armour and sighed. He was technically head of the knights. He sighed and grabbed his bag and put on a dark blue cloak before silently sneaking out of his chambers into the dark corridors, hoping no one would notice him on his way out.
He slowly walked down the dark corridor with only a few candles lighting up the way. He just hoped he wouldn't meet someone on his way out.Gwydion slept in his bed in his chambers when the physician Emmett opened the door. "Gwydion, is something wrong with your hearing!? The warning bells are ringing!," he explained, "The Prince is escaping the castle!," Gwydion sighed in frustration. "Damn Christian!," he muttered and got out of his bed and hurried to get dressed. "I need to go after him!," he declared. Emmett looked at him confused. "And how are you planning to get out of the castle?," he asked confused, "The King won't let anyone leave his Kingdom," Gwydion turned towards him. "I will take the secret passage that lays down in the dungeons," he explained. Emmett looked at him confused. "The guards are patrolling the castle, citadel and the lower towns," he explained, "How are you supposed to get out! Whatever you do, they will still recognise you," Gwydion gave him a sly smile. "Not if I'm eighty years old," he said and Emmett looked at him confused.
Gwydion walked down to the dungeons. He knew Christian was behind something. And he was going to find out. But to get out of the castle, he had disguised himself as an old man so he wouldn't be recognised.
When he reached the gates that he needed to go through to continue the way towards the entrance of the castle, he was met by two guards, aiming their swords at him. "Who are you?," Guard two asked. Gwydion looked at them angrily, "What a stupid question! I am who am! I am who I was, and I am the one I will always be!," Gaurd one looked at him confused. "That is no answer," He declared. Gwydion sighed, "I am on my way out of the town," Guard one shook his head. "No, you're not. Unless we say so you're not," Gwydion looked at him. "But you already said so," He declared, "Only ten minutes ago you said so. You said so, you said so, and it is so," Guard 2 shook his head, "You can't say so," Gwydion sighed, "What on earth is wrong with you?," he sighed, bored, "You're sleeping on your guard while your prisoners are being murdered! You can't remember who you are letting in and who you are letting out! And now apparently, I have to let myself out!," The guards were about to speak when Gwydion held up his finger. "Ah! Goodbye!," he said and then walked passed them, leaving the guards confused and shocked.Christian snuck out to the stables and over to his horse's box. He quietly saddled his white horse Azra before quietly leading him out of the stables. The guards suddenly noticed him and run towards him. "Hey!," A guard exclaimed and Christian hurried getting on his horse and rode out before the gate entrance to the great wall closed. Gwydion disappeared after him in the form of a hawk, fallowing him. But as soon Christian rode into the dark thick forest, he lost sight of him.
In a far away camp in The Silver Forest past the Crystal forest a young woman with dark brown hair and green eyes walked through the camp when a man went over to her. "Adelina," he spoke softly, "We shouldn't stay near the Eastern river. Henry's knights patrols the West near the Eastern river. We can get caught," Adelina looked up at him. "Henry took my family from me! He took everything. It is time he finally pays for what he has done, Adam," The young man sighed but didn't do anything more than nod in response to her words. "I should take the second watch," He declared, "You should go and get some sleep, Adelina," And Adelina turned to him, "You are right," she said, "I should go get some sleep. But I, Adelina White will not have peace until the King is dead! We leave in the morning for our nest," And Adam nodded and she left.
Christian made camp and made fire in a clearing deep in The Crystal forest at the borders of the The Dark Forest that lay close to his father's Kingdom Chandara. He opened a bag and took out some of his food supplies and his waterskin to get something to eat and drink. He thought about what his father would say. He would surely send out a patrol to look for him. But by then, he would be long gone. He suddenly heard a strange sound. He stood up and took out his sword. "Hello? Is someone there!? Show yourself!," he exclaimed. He got no answer. But on distance, he could feel someone was watching him. He slowly sat down and took down his sword. When he had finished eating, he pulled out his bedroll and blanket. The dark had fallen and the stars and glowing moon were visible in the dark sky. He laid down on his bedroll and closed his eyes to get some sleep. That night, his head was filled with thoughts. He wondered, what would his father say when he found out that he was gone? If he didn't already knew it which he probably already did.
"My son is what!?," Henry exclaimed at Berek, the Captain of the guard. Berek swallowed. "Forgive me, My Lord. But Gwydion is also gone," He declared and Henry sighed deeply. "Sire, if I may," The physician Emmett interrupted, "I believe Christian was just upset with the thing of getting married. I believe he will return," Henry sighed but didn't say anything more.
No one noticed Melinda, Henry's younger daughter peeking into the throne hall, surreptitiously. Her smile turned into a cheeky and wicked one. This was her chance to finally get rid of her older brother. To finally reveal her magic Gwydion had helped her to hide for so long. And she turned and walked down the corridors back towards her chambers.
