When Christian woke up next day, the sun was still beginning to rise by the horizon. He decided to continue his journey through the woods. He gathered his supplies into his bag and filled his water skin with fresh water by the river near where he had camped through the night. He still didn't know where he was going. Maridora. That was the Kingdom his mother had come from. She had been the younger child of The King of Maridora. Maridora was where he was going. His uncle Fredrick would surely allow him to stay, and would surely welcome him with open arms. But his father would find out and send men to force him back to Westrose.
Christian silently walked down a forest trail with his sword ready. He didn't notice that he was being watched and the hooded figures in the trees and bushes around him. He turned around when he heard a strange sound coming from the bushes and trees behind him. He turned slightly around and put a hand on his sword. "Hello? I know you're there. Show yourself!," He demanded. Suddenly, he was nearly hit by an arrow in the shoulder and he looked up and saw hooded figures coming running towards him. He immediately started to run as the men hunted him with arrows flying against him. He run through a valley of stone when he stumbled to the ground and he hurriedly got up when an arrow hit him in the side of the waist and he fell to his knees. He immediately got up to run when he slowly started feeling dizzy. 'Poison,' he thought fearfully. GET HIM!," he could hear the men yelling. Christian soon collapsed to the ground and fell unconscious.
The men in cloaks slowly approached him. The manly leader smiled cheekily as he noticed the amulet of an emblem Christian wore around his neck. "Sleep well, young Eaglewood," the man said before snatching the amulet of Christian's neck. The man turned to his men commandingly. "Grab him," he ordered and two other men grabbed Christian and dragged him away. "The leader will be pleased to meet him," the leader declared and fallowed after the men with Christian's amulet necklace in his hand.
