~~~~~SARA~~~~~~
"Good news." Althazar said triumphantly. "I was right. Earth appears to be entering it's doomsday."
"What?!"
I can't say I was really shocked. All signs pointed to something being seriously wrong. But did he have to lead into it with "good news"?
"The atmosphereic and oceanographic chemistry of your planet has changed at an unconcievable rate since I was last here. Consider yourself lucky. You and your friends will likely be the only individuals of your species to survive."
"Althazar..."
"If there was ever an appropriate time to thank me for picking you, it would be now."
"Why is my planet dying?"
"I haven't a clue, love." He answered.
"That's not good enough." I said, growing upset. "Everything I love is down there."
"Everything?"
I sighed. "Althazar, you know I love you but Earth is my home. My family is down there. My friends... everything I grew up with. There's got to be something we can do."
"You love me." He smiled. "I've haven't heard that before."
"Get over yourself." I rolled my eyes.
"No, go on. I'm liking this."
"Tell me how we're going to save Earth."
He stared blankly.
"Come on! You've got a space ship that can travel the universe, warp time, and reverse aging. You're telling me we can't save one planet?"
"Precisely." He answered. "And I love you too."
"Get me a pod. I'm going down there. One way or another, I'm saving this planet."
"It's hopeless." He said.
"You don't know that."
His eyes argued otherwise.
