"Leo, can you please stay behind." Virginia said, before dismissing the class.
"I will wait for you outside Kitty." Angie told her, squeezing her hand.
It had been several weeks since the breakup and it was always hard for Leonore to see Virginia. The professor had been giving her space, but Leonore could always feel her watching her and there was sadness in her eyes. Angie has been helping her a lot, looking after her in little space and being a great friend and Mummy. Though when Kathy came to visit, she would let her be the Mumma and they shared the role. Like today Kathy was picking her up and stayed with her as Angie had a late class, seeing Virginia always sent Leonore into a depression. Needing to be in little space to not think about it.
"Happy birthday Lushka." Virginia said, when they were alone.
"Thank you." Leonore answered, taking the envelope.
Leonore opened the envelope and smiled at the card; it was a Star Wars card. Opening the card, she found two tickets to the Katherine Jenkins and Placido Domingo concert, she gasped as they were the meet and greet tickets.
"I bought them before...anyway maybe Angie and you can go together." Virginia said, loving how her face lit up at the tickets.
"Thank you and you should use the other ticket since you bought them." Leonore answered, handing the other ticket to her.
"We could go as friends." Virginia replied, taking the ticket back.
"That will be nice." Leonore said, smiling sadly. "I have to go as I have another class; we will make the plans another day. Thank you again, I love the present."
"Ok, Lushka, have a great day." Virginia answered, hating she couldn't stay longer.
Leonore put the envelope in her bag and left, rushing into Angie's waiting arms.
"What did she want?" Angie asked, picking up Leonore.
"To wish me a happy birthday and give me her gift." Leonore answered, putting her head on her shoulder.
"What did she give you?" Angie asked, wishing she left Leonore alone.
"A ticket to a concert in Sydney and I get to meet the singers." Leonore answered, pulling away from Angie to go into the class.
"Nice, we will talk about it when I get home. Kathy is picking you up after this class and will take you home, Caro will take you to the entrance." Angie said, reminding her of what was happening.
"I know." Leonore answered, kissing her quickly on the cheek before going into Caro.
Leonore really struggled after the interaction with Virginia, Caro tried her best to get her through the hour and kept her distracted. Unfortunately, her behaviour didn't go unnoticed by the professor, and she asked Leonore to stay after class.
"Yes, Professor White?" Leonore said, nearly in tears.
"I am concerned, you haven't been your usual self and how can I help?" Professor White asked, noticing a change in her.
"I'm sorry, I have been struggling with my mental health lately. I will try harder to concentrate." Leonore answered, starting to cry.
"No, you will take time off and improve your mental health. I will talk to your professor's and tell them you are taking time off; I will send Caro home with information. It's not long to easter and you can work on your assessments at home. Are you seeing someone and on medication?" The professor told her, seeing that she was in a bad way.
