A/N: Hey there guys! I'm back with my new fanbase and of course I had to start with a one-shot collection. This one just popped into my head randomly, so here you all go. Enjoy!

You didn't quite know how to approach him, really.
He was dark, brooding, and often moody.

Alas, you two were forced together.

A loud explosion rings out from the other side of the Avengers Compound, making the ground shake on the residential side, where you sat on your bed, reading your favorite book.

At first, you thought it was just Daisy Johnson, a fellow Inhuman, practicing with her powers although she didn't need it, but when the smoke alarm goes off, that's when you know it wasn't your friend.

You burst out of your room, once again underestimating your super-speed and breaking yet another door, and zoom across the building, following the trail of smoke towards the containment module.

There stood Daisy and Bucky Barnes, their faces burned and ash surrounding them.

The former was relieved to see you. "Oh thank God you showed up Y/N. Another one of those suicide-bomb Inhumans just showed up. Nearly killed us."

"What were you doing handling an Inhuman, James?" you asked Bucky, crossing your arms, expecting a perfect reason.

"She asked for my help. Honest." He holds his hands up defensively, his blue eyes wide and wild.

Daisy sighs. "I'll clean this up. Simmons is on her way with the burn kit."

Bucky rubs his face and it's only then that you can see the redness, since he's wiped away the black ash from his face.

Your crush was hurt, so you saw no other option other than to help.

You hold your hand out. "Here, I'll take you to the MedBay. Bruce might have a better burn kit." You look at Daisy. "No offense to Jemma, of course."

"Oh no, go ahead. Don't let me stop you." She gives you a knowing look. "Go," she repeats.

Bucky takes your hand and you zoom over to the MedBay, forcing him to sit up on a bed before calling an overly-fidgety Bruce Banner over.

The poor guy was scared of Inhumans, even though he kind-of is one himself.

He gives you a nervous smile before getting to work on Bucky's face and, now you notice, his right arm.

The scientist patches him up, but Bucky's still pouting.

You look at him with a raised brow. "You okay?"

He frowns. "Can you kiss it better?"

His face is bright red as he asks this, and your heart melts at the innocent look on the super-soldier assassin's face.

You grin widely. "I thought you'd never ask."

You try to avoid the burn cream that covers a good part of his face as you press light kisses all over, making his face turn redder and redder.

"How about we do more of that sometime?" he asks with a strained smirk.

You giggle in spite of yourself. "It's only what I've always wanted."
