(Sean's POV)

My phone vibrated in my pocket as I was on my way to deliver some paperwork - the last delivery for me for the day. I pulled it half-out of my pocket and read the text from Ivann, I'd love to meet your friends. I handed over the paperwork and they looked at me weirdly - the enormous grin on my muzzle was probably the reason for the strange look.

I had nothing to do for the last twenty-five minutes of work, so I guess it was time to let Felis and his wife know about tonight. I found a hiding spot, a supply closet, and called him.

"Hey, is that invitation for dinner still open?" I asked, after talking for a few minutes about random things.

"Yeah. You just have to let us know when you want to come over."

"How about tonight?"

"Yeah, man, tonight's good."

"Oh, and be sure to set an extra plate at the table, because I'm bringing my boyfriend along."

"About time we get to meet him," he said, with a little laugh.

"Yeah, I know. Just go easy on him. He's a little shy."

"I know, man, you told me that already."

Did I already tell him that? I didn't remember doing so. The only time I could think of telling him something like that had to be when I was drunk and vented everything to him, but I don't remember what all I told him that night.

"Okay, we'll be over tonight," I confirmed, and then hung up.

I slipped out of the supply closet and went to punch out. Ivann wouldn't be done for a bit. He still had some paperwork to finish up before he could leave. I sent him a text, telling him that I would meet him at his apartment.

He responded moments later, Okay. I'll see you there.

While I waited at his apartment, I began to wonder if Felis and Kate would even like him. I know it might be awkward at first, but would they find him easy to be around? Would they have anything in common, hobbies, sports teams, books? Would they think he is the right one for me? I know what they thought of him didn't matter. It was what I thought of him that mattered and I think he is the right one, but it's always better when your friends think so too, right? I sighed. I hope they will like him.

Ivann called me and I picked up, immediately. "I'll be there it about ten minutes. All I have to do is change, and then we can go to your friends."

"All right, I'll be here, waiting in my car when you're ready," I told him, and that was it for our conversation.

A short while later, he pulled up next to me, shut his car off and hopped out.

"I'll be right back," he said as he ran into the building.

I nodded. "Okay."

He returned quickly, getting into my car. He was, now, wearing a light grey v-neck shirt and some blue-jeans, that formed his butt nicely if I say so myself.

He looked at me, with a bit of nervousness in his eyes, and asked, "So, where is your friends' place?"

"It's not too far from my apartment," I told him as I drove out of the parking lot.

He nervously chewed on his lip as we got closer and closer to our destination.

I reached over and rubbed his leg, telling him, "they're going to love you, so don't be so nervous." I know I was telling him that, but I was also telling it to myself, hoping it would be true.

"I'm sorry. I get like this whenever I'm going to meet new people," he told me as he placed his hand over mine.

"I'll be right there with you, and if you're not ready to meet them and you want to leave, just tell me and we can go," I told him, turning my hand over and wrapping my fingers around his.
