Killer & Cross
---------------------------------------Sparing a quick glance at the 2nd envelope he clutched tightly in his hand, he could notice that it was a slight grayish-blue color. And in place of a stamp, a white target and X were interlocked with each other on the upper left hand corner.
And yet, strangely, he felt a sense of unease and amusement all at the same time.
Snickering quietly, he let his eye lights wander to the small letters on the right-hand corner of the envelope, indicating the names of the senders.
"Killer and- Cross?" He momentarily paused, "what kind of ominous names are that..." He murmured, delicately peeling away the wax stamp with... a picture of a chocolate bar imprinted on it. This elected a choked wheeze from him.
So one of them likes chocolate, huh... did he like chocolate..? He couldn't remember. (He hated this 'couldn't remember' game that his mind seemingly loved to play).
Letting his eyes wander to the first few letters of the paper, he started to quietly read the contents.
~
So, hey there ————, (once again, his name was annoyingly smudged, keeping him from relearning his true identity. Brushing off the minor setback, he continued to read the letter).
Gosh, that serious and uptight beginning was so unlike me- (the slightly smudged out 'e' was quickly followed up with a smudged line, as the handwriting promptly changed, assuming that the other person had taken the pen).
Yo, ————! It's Cross, just wrestled the pen from the tar-leaking copy of you right there, sorry for the mess- (and just like that, there was another smudge and what seemed like droplet stains of a purple liquid dried up next to it)
Back, just socked Cross in the face for stealing the damn pen-
Heh, tickled the hell out of Killer and snatched back the pen-
(And just like that, the back and forth disagreement between the two different handwritings had taken up about half of the page, just filled to the brim with smudges, lines, and abruptly cut-off sentences.)
Yet through it all, he was just laughing, shakily holding onto the letter as he indulged into the pure comedy in the form of childish banter)
Ugh, finally got a compromise with Cross. So- hey, ————. How are you doing? Is the multiverse still there, Alternate Universes and all? Or is there just- nothing?
I hope everything's still there. Waking up to a blank whiteness without your home or friends in sight sounds like a nightmare. Pfft, unintentionally made a pun right there. Get it? Boss? Nightmare?
Heh, I bet you're snickering on the other side of that letter either way.
(He was, in fact, not snickering like the first person- Killer, was it- thought. But hopefully, just hopefully, he would be able to remember, and laugh all the same.
Despite the ominous stuff in Blue's letter, of course.)
Either way, it seems like the entire multiverse is in deep shit. And you're possibly the only chance of it ever coming back.
... Or... not, they just told us you would have no way of bringing any of us back. Bummer. Welp. I thought Error was going to be the death of all of us! Who thought they'd just- decide to destroy all of us today?
Yeah, seriously! Remember? They just decided to 'descend upon us' and crumbled everything in their path! ... I still remember Horror's screams and cries for mercy that day, as he watched his AU crumble right before his eyes.
