Zac isn't dating Evei in this, they are cousins. Kaia is the daughter of Rita and was cast out like her because Rita got pregnant with the human boy she was with which isn't allowed.
Kaia has the same powers like Bella, Rikki and Emma in H2O and same necklace but it was gifted by Zac.
