I was on boat with my boyfriend Zac and his best friend Cam. They wanted to fish and camp out while I just wanted to see my friends at Mako Island.
Tonight is a full moon which means the ceremony is happening and even though I'm out casted I still make sure to check on them right before it happens.
"What about here?" Cam asked and stops the boat. Zac thought the anker in the water before coming and sit besides me.
Cam takes his fishing rod and puts a poor worm on the on the hook.
"What are you doing?" Zac asks as I roll my eyes and take out my book to read.
"What does it look like I'm doing, mate?" The idiot retorts back and I raise a brow.
"It looks like your killing the poor worm that did you nothing." I deadpanned before going back to my reading.
"You won't catch anything." Zac tells him and Cam scoffs.
"Your just worried I'll catch something before you." Cam smugly says and that makes me roll my eyes cause now it's going to be a competition between the two.
Zac grabs his fishing rod and starts prepping it getting a smile from Cam. "Game on."
Setting starts to tug on Zac's rod making me raise a brow because he shouldn't be able to catch one as it's a duty to scare away the fish.
Zac pulls his rod up and to our surprise there is no fish which makes me roll my eyes knowing that Nixie is up to something.
"Awe, no fish, eh?" Cam teases before his rod goes off. Soon enough he pulls the rod up and he got the fish.
"Can we go now?" I ask them while placing my book in my lap and folding my arms.
"What, scared of water?" Cam teasingly asked and I rolled my eyes.
"No, I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry." I told them and they nodded.
We got to the Island and the boys got out of the boat to pull it up on the sand so it doesn't float away.
I got up while Zac came over to me and held his hand out for me to take, to which I did and helped me out of the boat.
After we took our stuff out the boat the boys ran a head of me which made me roll my eyes, before stopping and letting me catch up to them.
We walked further into the island before we found a place to set up our tents.
"I caught the fish, you guys do the tent." Cam kicked the rolled up tent towards us and I sarcastically smiled at him.
"Cam, if you think that I'm going to put up some tent because your to lazy to even help, then you're even more stupid than I originally thought" I sarcastically smiled at him before moving away from the rolled up tent.
"I'll do the tent." Zac stepped in, stopping an argument that was soon going to start.
It soon turned night and we are now finish eating what was cooked.
"Oh, man. How good was that?"
"It was rubbery, but not bad." Zac stated getting a look from Cam making me laugh.
"So where are the chick's and the music?" Cam asked before looking towards me. "You should've asked Evei."
"She hates camping." I told him and he squinted his eyes.
"Well it's not exactly my idea of a good time."
"Well, school starts next week" Zac stated making me groan. "We won't get another to get away."
"Two days on a deserted island. Great." Cam sighed before he stood up. "I'm gonna crash."
"If you snore I'll hit you." Zac stood as well making me furrow my eyes brows.
"Where are you going?" Cam questions and I look towards Zac.
"Nature calls." Was all he said and I rolled my eyes before getting up as well.
"And where are you going?"
"I'd rather go with him than be anywhere near you." I deadpanned and he faked laugh.
I stood a few feet away from Zac with my back towards him as he pees.
"Hey, Kie!" Zac called out for me and I rolled my eyes.
"I swear to god Zac, if you aren't dressed properly I will severely hit you." I threatened him, getting a chuckle.
"I am dressed but look." I turned around and saw a cave entrance that has light which made me widen my eyes knowing exactly what it is.
Zac started walking closer towards it which made me grab his arm and pull him back.
"Where do you think your going? It better not be in there." I told him but he just stared forward. "Zac?" I called out to him but he didn't answer and shrug his arm out of my grasp before walking into the cave making me groan. "And I wonder why I'm an outcast."
I followed Zac into the cave as we made turns until we got to a dead end.
"Zac there isn't anywhere else, it's a dead end." I said as I looked around before spotting something on the wall which is a trident that shings golden yellow.
Zac walked forwards to it and inspect it before holding his hand forwards and just when I'm about to tell him not to he touches the trident and it glows brighter.
"What did you do?" I asked him and he just shrugs.
I look down at my feet as I'm starting to feel something and I see my feet sinking into the ground which makes me gasp and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse Zac and u fall into the moon pool.

I transform into a mermaid and I grab hold of Zac and swim to the top.
Around us, I recognize Nixie Sirena and some other girl that I don't know.
"Kaia!?" Nixie and Sirena yell together and I give them a small nervous wave before looking down at Zac who is unconscious.
