Its the first day back at school and I'm at Zac's house to pick him and Cms up so we can go to school together.
I walked into Zac's room with Cam as we got there the same time.
"Guess your feeling a tad nervous, huh?" Cam asks and I look at him with confusion written alk over my face.
"Why would he be nervous?" I retort back and Zac nods at me.
"Yeah, its just another first day back at school." Zac calmly.says and I nod, going over and sitting on his couch.
"I'm not.talking about that, I'm talking about the fish thing." Cam says and I look at him strangely. "What if you get splashed and turn into tuna?"
"Since when did you care? And hello I'm right here, ill make sure nothing happens to Zac." I told Cam confidently but he just wavers me off.
"How I'm I going to get splashed?"
"Schools a red zone. There's hundreds of ways."
"Then how come Kaia never got splashed? She's been a mermaid for years and not once did it happen. And name one." Zac reminded him and I shrug my shoulders smugly.
"Science class." Cam states and I nod my head, sorta agreeing with Cam which never happens. "Its full of test tubes and fat bottles." I give Cam a blank face.
"They're called beakers." Zac and I deadpanned. "Don't stress. I'm cool with this."
"I'm not stressed. A little worried, maybe."
"Well now that that's settled, can we go now? I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry." I told them and Cam scoffed.
"You're always hungry." Cam roll his eyes before turning his attention to Zac. "Zac, I've never hand a friend that's half fish before." Cam says before looking at me for a brief second before turning back to Zac. "Well not that I knew of."
"We aren't friends. Just acquaintances." I corrected him getting a smile from Zac.
"Whatever. This is a little Weird for me. Don't you feel weird?" Cam questioned getting a shaken head from Zac.
"Just hungry." Zac says as I get up and take the water out of his hand and drive k some of it.
I turn on my heels and walk out of the room with Zac and Cam following behind me.
We went to the Ocean Cafe for breakfast where Zac orders prawns which gets him looks from Cam, Evie and I.
We sit at a table watching Zac eat his prawns and I occasionally take one from his bowl.
"What are you doing? You never eat prawns for breakfast." Evie states as I laugh at Cams face.
"I do now. I love them. Do you want one?" Zac holds a prawn out for Evie to take but she shakes her head.
"A fruit salad to go will do me fine, thanks." Evie says before getting up and going to the counter.
"Don't mind if I do." I say before taking the prawn out of his hand. And eating it.
One of the girls from yesterday walks up to us and stands next to Cam. "Hi I'm Lyla. Your Zac." She introduces herself ignoring that Cam and I are sitting right there.
"Yup." Zac blankly says, hardly paying her any attention.
"What do you think your doing?" I glared at her but she just ignores me.
"You're A lifesaver. I've seen you on the beach. I really wanna be one two. Can you show me?" Lyla asks and my glare deepens as Evie joins us.
"I guess, but you'd better be off going-" Zac gets cut off by Lyla.
