It had only been a few days since Anastasyia and Yelena were freed from the Red Rooms mind control. After taking up residence in a Budapest safe house, Yelena decided to send the rest of the red gas to Natasha Romanoff, along with a few pictures from when they were younger.

Anastasyia was having a rough time adapting to life outside the academy. Ever since she was little her whole life was set on routine; she was instructed what she was going to do and when, but now it was different. She was free to what she wanted, to make her own choices. Yet even after the mind control was wiped from her brain, her hard exterior lingered. 15 years of intense training and conditioning had left its mark.

The quiet echoes of footsteps rang from the hallway, catching both Yelena and Anastasyia's attention and from the look on each of their faces they both knew who they belonged to. It was hard to mask your footsteps in such an echoey building but they were doing a decent job, the two only hearing them when they got to the door.

Silently making her way over to the weapon room, Anastasyia grabbed two pistols and loaded them up with ammo, before handing one over to the blonde and taking one herself. Unlike Yelena, she moved to stand further down the hallway, her thoughts consuming her.

"I know you're out there," the blonde called out calmly when she heard the lock start to make noise.

"I know you know I'm out here," the voice of Natasha Romanoff fired back. Chills shooting down the auburn haired girls spine  when she heard the voice. Not a moment after, the door of the apartment opened and the avenger walked in with her gun held defensively.

"Then why are you skulking about like it's a minefield?" Yelena asked readying her own gun, sending a quick glance Anastasyia's way making sure she was okay. Natasha continued to follow closer to the source of the voice, surveying her surroundings as she walked past each empty room.

"Cause I don't know if I can trust you."

At the woman's response, Yelena let out a chuckle meeting the teenagers amused expression, "I was going to say the same thing."

"So we gonna talk like grownups?" Natasha questioned, finally appearing from behind a wall to be stood face to face with her childhood sister. Both of them with their guns pointed at each other, the avenger still unaware of the other person stood down the hall.
