"Pizza's here!" Adam announced as he made his way into the living room where a C-shaped, navy blue fluffy couch was placed. Both ends of the Cs held a fluffy, grey and white fleece with a small, cylinder shaped, white pillow on both ends that differented them from the rest of the couch which had square shaped, white pillows.
The wooden floor had a nice fluffy white carpet that went under a silver legged, oval shaped glass table that held a short vase with a green flower. The carpet then went all the way to the fireplace which held a huge plasma TV above it.
Solana and I were happily sitting on the couch facing the TV that played a romcom called, Just Wright. We just finished unloading the groceries too about 40 minutes ago and since it was already 16:45, we decided to order some pizza after having a long day of unpacking.
"Thanks Love." Solana sighed as she leaned her head back and allowed Adam to gently press a chaste kiss on her lips before he came around and plopped down next to her, placing the two pizza boxes on the table.
"So, what did you want to tell me that you have been procrastinating?" I curiously asked as I curled myself on the couch while watching my sister and her husband give each other looks of comfort and reassurance. Their hands suddenly shooting out to grab each other as they cuddled into each other with Solana leaning her head against his shoulder.
"Well," Solana nervously smiled at Adam who gave her a nod. "We're pregnant!" She excitedly squealed.
"What!" I excitedly jumped up from the couch and all but grinned at them. I'm sure my eyes would have gold, glittery stars if I were a cartoon.
"Yeah, we are going to welcoming a little baby boy or girl in about 8 months time." Solana quietly said with her eyes locked with Adam's. Adoration and admiration swirling in her glossy emerald greens in such a way that I felt my own grow teary from happiness. My sister was pregnant and I couldn't wait to meet my new niece or nephew.
"I'm so happy for you both." I tearfully smiled at them, while opening my arms and leaning down to give them separate hugs.
"Thanks, Sisi." Solana smiled as she wiped away her tears.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier on? I understand why not yesterday, Adam wasn't there, but this morning?" I asked.
"Well, I was scared you wouldn't want me to help you with moving in." She threw me a pointed look.
"I would never," I innocently smiled." Anyway, how many months along are you?"
"Just one." She blushed, her cheeks coating with a slight pink.
"Ohh," I knowingly nodded," The honeymoon created a new honey." I winked.
"Shut up!" She blushed, while grabbing a pillow but just as she was about to throw it at me, the sudden sound of her ring tone filled the spacious room.
She immediately pulled it out of her pocket and checked the caller ID. Without uttering a word, she effortlessly quirked her eyebrow before swiping at the screen and placing it against her ear.
"Dr Solana Taylor, how may I help you?" She greeted before a series of humms and nods followed, but it ended with an," I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Who was that?" Adam asked.
"The hospital," She sighed," I think one of my patients might need me." She worriedly said.
"Go." I reassuringly smiled.
"I'm sorry." She apologetically smiled as she stood up with Adam behind her.
"It's okay, don't worry." I smiled.
