The annoying, loud and sharp sound of my alarm blurring from my phone had me groaning as I stretched my hand over to my nightstand to swipe the cool screen of my cell phone to quiet the loud sound. A sigh left my lips as I threw myself back on the bed so my back was against the soft sheets while my eyes tiredly locked with the white ceiling above me.
I felt like crying but my eyes were aching already as was, so I just pushed myself off from my bed and switched off the nightlight allowing the room to be illuminated by the moonlight outside and the slowly rising sunlight outside. I slowly trudged out of the room and across the hall to the small bathroom that held a small shower, medium sized bathtub, a basin and a toilet.
The floor was lined by white, smooth tiles that went well with the white furniture inside and the silver taps, mirror and towel rack. The walls had square and diamond shaped tiles, with a belt of small rock designs in the middle of the wall. A dry towel and my facial towels were already hung on the towel rack so I walked into the bathroom and closed the bathroom behind me.
I stripped out of my short pajamas and ruined on the shower before washing my face with my face wash before wiping it off with my facial towel by the time I was stepping into the shower, the hot water had created a cloud of steam at the bottom and the tiled floor was warm.
I had a fun night with Adam and Solana the previous night and this time, no one left until everyone was ready to. And, as I had guessed, I got an earful for being 10 minutes late which was fairly dramatic in my opinion, but who am I to judge. The food was worth it at the end and led to an amazing night in overall and it helped to take my mind off of Elias. One thought of him sent a wave of sadness into my heart and some much warranted guilt. In honesty, his words had me thinking to such an extent that I am now conflicted again. A part of me wants to the keep the mansion whereas another is still very skeptical. I don't know if I can live there or even afford it on my own.
During all my thinking, I managed to do everything I needed to do in the shower and was out in what felt like seconds. The steamy, warm room was very welcoming to my warm body and my busy mind that while I was in the bathroom, I felt at peace from my thoughts.
After moisturising my body and hair, I wrapped a towel around myself and made my way out of the bathroom and back to my room where my already prepared clothes were hung. I dropped the towel and slipped on my black set of underwear before pulling on my white vest long sleeve vest, my black jeans jacket, blue denim jeans and white sneakers. I naturally pulled my hair up into a messy bun on top of my head before grabbing my bag and making my way to the kitchen for some breakfast.
I placed my bag on one of the two chairs that were placed against the counter and decided to pop some toast while making some avocado at the side which I would spread on my bread once it was ready. Once my two slices were ready, I spread some margarine and then the avocado before taking a bite of one of my sandwiches. A bite that instantly made my morning as my taste buds buzzed with joy and satisfaction. The creaminess, smoothness and slightly salty taste on the avocado was a great day to start a morning that I found myself munching on both slices within minutes.
I then poured myself a glass of water and downed it before calling for an Uber that would drop me off at work on time for my 6am shift. I didn't even wait long before the Uber arrived and I was jogging downstairs to jump in and to a place that never failed to get my mind off my reality. My reality full of loneliness, dullness and dare I say, boredom.
As my eyes connected to the rising sun in the horizon, a smile laced my lips and the sensation of a brand new day had my insides buzzing with joy. I felt rejuvenated and fresh, almost like the cool and fresh morning or evening breeze that represented the end of beginning of a day. It was purely refreshing and I couldn't wait to see what it would bring.
