MAIKO.
"Mai-chan, you'll let me have sweets, won't you? I've been so sad... nothing can cheer me up, but even if I have just one small piece, I'll feel okay. Please, Mai-chan, please!" Honey-senpai rushed to me right as I walked through the double doors, practically clinging onto the skirt of my dress as he begged.
"Honey-senpai!" Tamaki hurried over, pulling me away from Honey-senpai and into his arms instead. "No trying to convince Maiko to help you! You know how kind-hearted she is, and I will not let you take advantage of her!" With my hand in his, he pulled me far away from Honey-Senpai, and sat me at the window-sill.
I felt bad for the small third year. "Honey-senpai's still not allowed to have sweets?"
He shook his head. "None of us are, to help encourage him," he replied. He sat beside me, still holding my hand and fiddling with my fingers.
"That's nice of you," I smiled at him.
"How long are you staying? Do you have a Student Council meeting later?" he asked, intertwining our fingers once more. My heart skipped a beat as I glanced down at our hands.
I shook my head. "No, I think I'm good to stay today."
Leaning his head on my shoulder, he grinned. "That's good. You've been missing lately, I haven't been able to see you as often," he frowned.
I turned my body towards him slightly, being careful not to accidentally shake his head off my shoulder. How could I not adore him when he was the way he is? "You are so cute," I hummed, brushing his bangs out of his face with my free hand. I saw his cheeks burn a deep red and grinned.
"How was the lunch with the twins and your friends?" He coughed, attempting to hide his face slightly.
I smiled discretely at the way he chose not to name Asahi and Kimari, even though he knew it was them we were with. "It was good, I had fun with them." He hummed in response and I tugged his hand that was interwoven with mine. "You should come next time. Maybe they can meet all of you guys."
He sprung up with a wide smile, facing me with twinkling eyes. "Really?" Really, how could I not fall for a person looking at me like that?
I nodded. "Well I know they already met you, but maybe you could get to know each other." Despite the fact that I felt like Kimari would grill him to the bone given the chance, I think it would be fun to have him with us next time.
"Boss!" Hikaru made his way towards us with Haruhi by his side. Haruhi tossed me a wink at the proximity of Tamaki and I, earning a mere shrug in response. Turning my head to face the window, I desperately tried to hide the combination of a blush and smile that was beginning to spread across my cheeks.
Tamaki cleared his throat, but refused to back away from me. "What?"
"Kyoya wants to talk to you about something." Tamaki stood with my hand still in his, but was halted from pulling me up with him when Hikaru continued. "Also, I need to borrow Maiko."
