"What do you mean, you know him?" Before Derek could respond he calls everyone into the main room. Everybody piles in including the pack he once called his friends.
Reid steps beside Stiles, "what's going on?"
"Derek knows who it is."
Hale and Morgan cross their arms and look at each other. Stiles gestures for Hale to continue. "Nobody knows his name or has seen his face but he is cruel and has gotten with with this for years. They call him 'The Marksman'."
The BAU team looks at each other confused. "Why?"
"He leaves them all with a calling card. It's hard to see but it's always there." He points to an 'X' carved into the wall, the ground, and cupboard of each victim. "Nobody has been able to catch him. He's been doing this for maybe ten years. Each year he moves to a different state. But these murders happening for a month before he stops and disappears."
Stiles closes his eyes and thinks for a moment. An idea pops into his head. "He's methodical and persistent. He sticks to a schedule, a routine."
"And since he's done this in a different state each year it explains why other cases haven't popped up," Garcia inputted through the screen.
"Crossing state boarders, different jurisdictions," Rossi said.
JJ turns to Hale, "how is it the other cases haven't come through us?"
The emerald eyed man cocks his head to the side as if to ponder the question. "Stiles, you've told me some time ago that each case you have to be invited in, right?" The young man nods. "I don't know why they would try to hide it but it's the only explanation. They didn't want anybody involved. That or they were too late and he never strikes again."
"They probably didn't make the connection like Derek did."
He shrugs, "Stiles is right. The only way this guy is identified is through the mark he leaves behind. He kills differently each time."
Hotchner cuts in, "if he kills once every week for a month and on Fridays we have a day to catch him before he disappears again and kills somewhere different. So what do we know?"
Reid cogitates for a moment mumbling to himself. "He's seeking attention of the public-"
"Not the public, law enforcement. He's taunting them to catch him."
"Is this all you guys do?" Everyone turns to look at Scott who has spoken. "Standing around talking while there is a serial killer out there."
Everyone looks at each other than to Stiles. "Yes Scott, this is exactly what we do. Sitting on our asses waiting for him to strike," his words dripping with sarcasm. The alpha wolf scoffs with a smile. "No, we use the behavior of the Unsub to create a profiler."
