The cave was dreary and miserable.

The boy thought the cave was a nice, homey place. But, it turns out he was wrong. Water from the thunderstorm dripped down the ceiling and a musty smell lingered in the air.

"Madame, where is my home supposed to be?" he asked, hoping that his mentor won't say that he would stay in the cave. His mentor smiled, exposing her white, pearly teeth. "We're almost there," she said.

The duo walked on and finally reached the end of the cave. There, a giant vortex of bright light awaited for them. The boy's mentor walked ahead, but he himself stopped. "Madame, are you sure I'm suitable for this?" he asked again. His mentor sighed and turned to him. "Yes, my boy."

He fidgeted with the sleeves of his cloak. "What if I fail again? Will I still be suitable?"

His mentor let out a deep sigh and she shook her head. "I'll have to think about that," she replied. Then she walked into the vortex and disappeared. The boy stood alone and gulped.

He never had answers. He only wanted revenge. Revenge on his own siblings.

But for now, he only had trust as his companion before he struck again.

Hi everyone!

Christine and Lexi back here again, with Book 2 of 'The Krewdom Stories!' In case you are wondering, we started 6 days earlier because we were very impatient, haha. Also, this is the continuation from Book 1 'Her Risen Dawn'. If you have not read it, what are you waiting for? Check it out!

Since it's our exam period, we won't be updating as quickly as before, but we swear that we'll update whenever we can. Now with that aside, we can finally start. Hope you'll enjoy!
