I cracked my eyes open to glaring ceiling lights and I winced. My body felt sore and my head throbbed. What happened? I wasn't sure. I wanted to sit up, but something heavy was weighing me down. Pressure? Once my eyes adjusted, I looked around the room.

I was in the medical quarters of the castle. The walls were tiled with blue porcelain and the floor was a beautiful shade of cream. There were 2 rows of beds in front of me, including the soft bed I was lying on currently. To my left were rows of shelves holding bottles and vials of medicines, and to my left were bookshelves and the exit. There were also 2 doors, one leading to the ER and the other to storage. A beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling, giving an abundance of light. My body relaxed and I finally found feeling in my hands.

With my newfound strength, I pushed myself up into a sitting position. The storage door clicked open and the nurse walked inside, carrying a tray of medicine. "Nurse Eliza?" I asked, my voice sticky and garbled. "Am I alive? What happened?"

Nurse Eliza dipped an elaborate curtsy. "A poison was found inside your body. It was so strong that it could have killed you. It's a miracle that you are a fighter and pushed through." She set the tray beside me as she said so.

I was stunned. "How?" Never in the world have I been poisoned, but who would do such things? "The forensic team traced the poison to the rim of your glass. So you must have ingested it while drinking," replied nurse Eliza. "I have no idea who got their hands on the poison, but indeed they did." She took a bottle of pink liquid, unscrewed the lid and handed it to me. "Drink, it's for the soreness in your body." I downed the liquid, which tasted like strawberry syrup swirled with sugar, and felt the pain face away.

I had another question. "You did say I was poisoned, and of course poison would knock me out, so how many days have I been unconscious?" Nurse Eliza fiddled with her dress hem. "A week," she muttered. "A WEEK?!" I hollered, wanting to throw back the covers, but the pressure in my stomach held me down like a living weight. Nurse Eliza adjusted some of my pillows. "You highness, screaming won't speed your recovery. So what you are gonna do now, is to rest," she said, pulling up my blankets tightly and switching off the lights. Then, she padded out.

Pretty much, my eye fluttered shut and I drifted into sleep.

When I woke up, the sun still hasn't rose yet. The sky was an auburn colour, that means it's still dawn. I pushed back the covers and found myself dressed in a white nightgown with lace trimming. The mystery of why my legs are itching during the night was solved. And also, I wondered how or when I was dressed. I decided not to ask when the change happened.

I looked on my right and saw Nurse Eliza sleeping in the next bed. I smiled, knowing that she hasn't slept since I was poisoned. I made sure to repay her later. Quietly, I slipped out of bed and left the hospital wing.

I walked barefooted all the way to my room. It felt strange to be without shoes but...maybe this is how Funneh always feels, if she was alive. Tears sprang in my eyes and I smudged them away. I can't cry, I promised myself I would move on.

When I finally returned to my room (I'm not gonna bother explaining how the room looks like because I'm lazy, but if you like to know, check out the Krew's House Tour on itsfunneh's channel!) I headed for my closet to ditch my nightgown. I changed into a black dress with yellow rim, a dress I wore many times. I tied back my brown hair in a ponytail and opened the drapes, letting in the warm buttery sunlight. I smiled. "Maybe I should go for a walk," I said. Why not? After all I was bored. I slipped on a pair of trainers and ran out of the castle. The rushing air blasted into my face and I laughed, it had been a long time since I've done this. I spent the morning walking through the gardens, admiring the flowers, screaming at bees and eventually, I decided to walk in the forest.

I strolled down the dirt path leading into the thick of evergreen trees. The warm yet cooling breeze whipped against my hair and the soft rustling of leaves soothed my heart.

Maybe this was what I needed after all.

Suddenly the wind picked up. I stopped walking and wrapped my arms around myself. I looked up and screamed.

Something in the distance. Big, brown, fast. Extremely fast. It was running towards me. I wanted to run, but I just...stood there. My legs refused to move, like someone just removed the feeling inside. The steps felt like thunder in my ears. I managed to step back, and then I was running.

I've never ran like this before. Unfortunately I was awfully slow. Whatever that was chasing me was catching up quickly. It ran past me and eventually stood in front of me. I froze, my legs braking by themselves. I squeezed my eyes shut. "Please not now, please not now, please not now..." I whispered.

I opened my eyes. I didn't know what made me, but I did. And-

Wait...

Cocoa? What was she doing here?

Cocoa is the horse Funneh used to run away from the castle. After she was lost, we never saw her again. But here she was, standing before me. "Cocoa? What's wrong?" I asked, stroking Cocoa's strands of fur. Cocoa neighed and tossed me up suddenly. "Whoa what the heck!" I screamed as she took off, galloping.

I grabbed Cocoa's reins as we rode further away and away. Look I'm not a horse woman, but trust me, it felt strange being on the horse.

We reached a quarry of trees, with a small pond flowing with crystal water. Cocoa set me down and gestured to a bush. I recognized this place when I looked up. We were in Craig Peak, again.

Cocoa snuffled and reached to the bush again. She gently brushed some leaves, revealing the tips of someone's blue hair. I gasped. No, it can't be. Cocoa continued to brush away the leaves, and a limp figure rolled onto the ground.

My eyes grew to the size of tennis balls. No....it's impossible. But it looks like I'm wrong.

The impossible I thought...was possible.
