  Lucian and his family including Raymond were all sitted clearly having a strictly family meetings, no maids in sight and a transparent barrier in front of the area kept the shadow guards out of listening. Luciana slowly narrated her encounters in school since it was clear that clearly one of her friends was her brother's mate, she felt super excited but worried at the same time, because being the queen of the Werewolves would require strength, confidence and the ability to use the power that comes with being a queen to a great advantage, no one would listen to or accept a weak queen and she might probably be challenged and overthrown by a stronger female. The family didn't have any issue with whomever that ends up being lucian's mate in fact the current Queen Rosalie promised to keep her safe if need be.
  Xavier kept sniffing the jacket with hopes to catch more scent but all that was left was only faint. He was hardly listening to whatever that was being said
  "-but there's this new kid at school, she's different-"
  That catches his attention and he raises his head feeling the others gaze on him. Everyone knew that the only thing that pisses off Xavier the most were rogues. He growled causing Luciana to quickly raised both hands up "No Xavier, she's not a rogue, she's like human but is different but she's definitely not a rogue"
  Xavier maintained eye contact with her for a while before going back to sniffing the jacket "Tell me about her, is she the one with the scent?"
  "Well I was with her the most of today so it's probably her scent" She grinned happily at the thought of living together with Renée.
  "Explain more about the most of today?".
  Xavier as getting impatient, he needed answers quick and the fact that the scent on the jacket was faint wasn't helping matters at all. He was on the verge of an half shift when Lucian suddenly gained back control.
  "I'm sorry about that guys, Xavier can be a little too much".
  "It's fine" the queen smiled warmly knowing how her son's wolf temper could be and especially now that it concerns his mate.
  Lucian shut Xavier out of his head and the love sick wolf could only pace around in his mind.
  "You should keep a stronger rein around him" the king huffs clearly displeased, the queen slaps him lightly and frowns.
  "Your highness you know how Xavier can be and we all know how difficult it is to keep a lycan wolf restrained. At this point we have to find the future queen. So now that we don't have a wolf who's gonna interrupt us every minute, what we should all do is find a way to quickly locate and bring the future queen here" Raymond quickly interceded earning him a smile from his mate. "That's if she's the new girl Lucy is friends with".
  "I have that under control. So we're kind of like besties now, we'll be skipping school-"
  The king growled, he clearly didn't approve of her cutting classes.
  "Oh father, I'm so sick of that place, I get bored easily so don't expect me to stay put in there besides no teacher dares to punish me " She rolls her eyes dramatically
  "Young lady! Princess or not-" The king was not pleased with her nonchalant attitude, the queen patted his arm lovingly causing him to restrain his anger.
  "Well, she agreed to go shopping with me, she needs a change of wardrobe and I might even bring her over for a sleepover!"
  "Not so fast sis, We can't risk anyone finding out the truth about us, we have to confirm if she's my mate before bringing her over".
  "Let's not forget that everyone can easily notice a change in your scent Luca since obviously the whole supernatural world knows that no lady dares to be close to you. If they put two and two together they'll figure out that she's your mate and she's...also human"  Said the queen.
  "No mother, I don't think she's totally human." Luciana denies.
  "What do you mean" the Queen's eyes glowed white for a second. "No flash of vision or scent detector"
  "Don't you understand, I could not read her. It was like she had some shield around her, I just couldn't get through and that made me suspicious".
  "Hmmm that's rare. We need to check the books. This hasn't happened in a century" the queen was deep in thoughts.
  "Well I guess this is a witch kind of thing" Raymond sighs still confused on how a witch magic works, still hasn't completely gotten used to the fact that he has one as a mate.
  "Uhm sis, what else do you know about this girl?" There was this calm, collected look on lucian's face and if you could take a deeper look you can see a sign of hope, he didn't care what kind of the race his mate was from, all he wanted was for her to be by his side forever.
  "Yes! I drove her home and I think I still remember the route"
  "Come on let's pay her a visit and even if you can't recollect I'm sure one of mum's potions or spells can help" Lucian smirks.
  "No son, I'm sure we'll clearly not be needing that in this situation".
  "Yes bro, mum is right. I only need that during exams" she blurted out unknowingly.
  Uh oh, the king's face was darkening at the second, he never knew that his favorite child had been playing truancy and still cheats during exams (it's not exactly cheating in my point of view 😂). All of a sudden Luciana suddenly disappears from the room taking her mate and her along.
  "Honey, did you know that she does that" the king asks the queen still unable to comprehend how much his sweet and loving daughter had changed.
  She shrugs"it's her prime, she should enjoy every bit of it. I did much worse when I was her age".
  "You were a new student but a big menace".
  "But you still fell in love with me at first sight".
  "No" he cuddled her "I remember that story differently, you couldn't take your eyes off me. I wasn't the one who casted a snow spell on the hallway and injured a few teachers"
  "Shhh you promised never to mention that" she planted her lips on his.

  "This is clearly when she asked me to pull over. I don't understand why her scent isn't here" Luciana was so confused, she had brought her brother and mate to the estate where she had dropped Renée but her scent wasn't there.
  Lucian didn't know what to think anymore. First he had gotten a jacket from his sister and found a scent of his supposed mate but upon bringing him to where she's supposed to live, she is nowhere to be found.
  "It's alright sis, if she's now attends the same school we attend. We'll see hear tomorrow" He hugged her trying to comfort her because Luciana looked like she was about to cry.
  She hugged him back, apart from her mate and parents, he was the other person who could calm her and her wolf down. When everyone else has seen him as a ruthless monster when they were growing up, She had always seen his wolf as a soft plushie and had love to have Xavier carry her whenever they go on runs together, her wolf Sasha was proud to have a powerful and strong wolf as her brother.
  "Don't worry babe" Raymond took over and is now hugging her.
  "She lied to me, what if she was a specially trained wolf, a spy. What if there's a tracker on me, what if she was trying to know-"
  "Calm down and breath with me" she was hyperventilating and this was making Ray restless "you would have felt it if she had ill intentions against you. And there's nothing out of place on you. You're perfect as usual" He kissed her forehead.
  "Lucian..." She reached out to him wih one of her hands "I'm sorry, I really am. I really wanted to help, I didn't know that she had lied about where she lived or who knows how many things she had lied to me about".
  He folded one of his hand around her delicate one "I didn't expect the moon goddess to give me a easy mate to find. She might have had her reasons for not telling you the truth but I promise you that we'll get her" He chuckled.
  "We have to find mate soon, what if she's in any danger"  Xavier finally spoke after a long period of uncommon silence.
  "We'll find out mate soon". Said Luciana.
  "Then we'll pin her to the bed and make sure that she is not able to move the next morning"
  "Perv" Lucian cussed out loud and this caused his beta and sister's eyes to be on him.
  "Xavier being Xavier right?" They said simultaneously
  "Yes, you're right. Most times I'm afraid he controls me and not the other way around"
  "But it's obvious that I do!"
  "Shut up horny perverted wolf bastard. Don't say I do cuz we're not getting married" Luciana cautioned in their mind link.
  "Keep quiet immature human who can't live without me".
  'Stop being over the moon for nothing. You definitely know that I don't need you around all the time'
  Lucian was clearly frustrated "Ray assign some guards around this perimeter and Lucy give the guards that are assigned a mind picture of her. Nothing about the possibility of her being queen should be revealed. Let them search around and not lower their guards at the chances of rogues" He started walking into the woods.
  "Bro wouldn't you like to see her picture?" She still felt guilty.
  "And ruin how meeting her for the first time would feel. No. I'll meet you guys back at the palace". With that, he turned around again "And no heated sessions while you're at it. I don't want my sister in an inconvenient position of risking her secret. Do you understand Ray".
  "Yes crown prince".
Lucian raised one of his eyebrows and shrugged. What he had not noticed was a little bit of power had seeped in his voice and that was enough to cause his best friend to submit.
