I took a step back and looked at her, confused. As a few minutes go by of Enzo, Alice, and me talking, I realized that she was actually nicer and not snarky and hateful like my mother.
"Hey, can I talk to you sis?" Alice said.
"Uh, sure?" I said, kind of hesitant.
She led me into my room and shut the door. She looked at me with a grin.
"So... I think Enzo is kinda cute and I want to get to know him. He told me you two were good friends and... I want to get to know him. He seems really sweet." she said, looking away.
...
WHAT?! HER TOO?!
I stood there in shock. I didn't want her to take him away from me.
"I... I don't want you to." I mumbled.
"Why? He told me you see him as a friend, do you actually like him?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
"No! Well... Maybe... I don't know..."
"Let your heart speak." Alice said softly.
"I... I love him... So much and I don't want to lose him..." I admited.
"I KNEW IT!" she yelled excitedly. "Why aren't y'all dating?! You know he loves you too!"
"I don't know, I just thought it would be weird to date a--" I stopped myself. "Uh.. My best friend."
"Girl, cmon. You know you want to." she said, taking my hand and bringing me back into th living room.
"I'll leave you too be, it was good to see you sis!" she said while leaving.
Enzo looked at me and asked, "so what did you two talk about?"
"I love you, Enzo." I said.
Enzo's eyes widened as he stared at me. A small smiled formed on his face and he asked, "a-are you being serious?"
"Yes, I'm being serious. I've been ignoring my feelings for a long time and I think it's about time that I admit to myself that I'm crazy in love with you." I said as I looked down at my feet.
Enzo stood up from the couch and walked over to me. He lifted my chin and smiled softly at me.
"I want to be with you forever Zara. I want to marry you one day, I want to give you everything I can give you, I want to give you all of my love. I love you Zara." Enzo whispered.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around him and kissed him passionately. I completely melted in his arms as he pulled me closer.
And this all happened 6 years ago. Enzo and I have our own business and live in a big house. And just recently, he proposed to me. I am 24 now and my sister visits us a lot. Amelia hasn't bothered us since college, but I hope she's doing well.
