By far the easiest N.E.W.T. exam that Draco could sit was Ancient Runes. There was little essay work involved. Draco could work with numbers and use it to solve problems and that was his best work. It was also his last exam for the month and he walked out of that exam room with lifted spirits and the grandest grin he could make.

He linked his arms with Theo and together they skipped back to the castle, their bags and notes all floating behind them with a quick charm. "Absolutely smashed," Theo promised. They were discussing what to do when they got to the Slytherin common rooms after they all grouped back together. Getting drunk was apparently on the agenda. "I'm so bloody happy, I can't even describe the feeling," he laughed almost crazily.

Draco snorted and wrapped an arm around Theo's shoulder once they headed back into the castle. Greg was easy to spot, he had only four exams to take, with the hardest being charms. Almost everyone in their group (except Pansy) took charms, so they spent the most time together revising for it. It was nice teaching the curriculum to Greg, because it meant that they could all relearn everything together.

Theo, as much as he loved to colour code his work and prepare timetables for their revision, didn't particularly enjoy the actual studying part. Daphne was a saint and made sure that they were all well-fed considering none of them ever left the common rooms, library or empty classrooms.

Draco had two essay based exams for all his NEWTs and a practical included. "So three exams per class and then two for ancient runes," Draco hummed softly. "11 if we exclude Herbology," he said. Herbology didn't really have an exam for it, Draco just had to hand in his written thesis, all 15 pages worth on the work of the Pibicon banana plant. He also handed back the plant, with a dramatically tearful goodbye and never returned to the greenhouse.

"Hiya Draco, Theo," Neville greeted, from where he was having a conversation with Greg.

"Longbottom!" Draco grinned, wrapping his arms around the boy, ignoring his surprised squeak.

"Don't be too shocked Longbottom," Theo said, but Draco could hear his smile. "We're all riding highs after our last exams," he said.

Neville laughed and patted Draco back before they let go, "I was just talking to Gregory about the Muggle Studies N.E.W.T.s you guys were taking."

Draco and Theo both furrowed their brows, looking at each other and then at Neville with confusion. "You must be mistaken, we were working towards our O.W.L. qualification with those."

This time Greg was the one scratching the back of his head and shrugging, "Actually I decided to swap it for a N.E.W.T. after Christmas. I think I did pretty good... Professor Lupin is a good teacher."

Draco grinned widely, "Gregory! That's brilliant!" he went to hug Greg whilst Theo rolled his eyes fondly. "I can't believe it! This is amazing," he breathed.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let's go find Blaise, Pans and Daph. They should be finishing their Defence exam by now," he said.

Theo nodded before looking at Neville, "want to join us?"
