Chapter 12 (the kidnap)

I pushed the door of Last Drop and entered, It was empty, except from Sevika who seems drunk and sleep deeply also Thieram was sleeping behind the bar disk, there is no parties tonight, I walked quietly to not wake them and head to Silco office I knocked the door waiting for response, I didn't hear anything except silence I open the door and look with side of my eye, he was sleeping behind the disk between tones of paper I didn't saw him sleep like this for long time, before I start taking some responsibilities for his business, I entered the office and walk toward his disk, what a mess, he really struggle with this work I took a blanket and cover him, but he suddenly wake up and immediately pull a pocket knife facing it to me, "oh, dammed,  you scared me produce any sound at least" I step backward and rose my hands to cool him down, then I sat on the chair in front of his disk, "so how is work, seem not very will", he took a cigarette and light it up while saying: "believe or not, I forgot how this work done, you were doing a great job" he took a breath from his cigarette and continue: "after Fire lights attack, and your absent the job decrease sharply" he look at me and continued: "so anything new with you? your girlf..." I entrapped him directly: "nothing between us, we're just friends or maybe less" he smile slightly and said: "I see" then face the window "anyway you need to forget her, you're not similar and no connection between you", I said will facing down "I know, I just can't pass her, she effects on me more than I thought" I immediately look at him: "don't worry it's just a matter of time before I forget her" I stopped for a moment before I said "either her", Silco stand from his chair, walk towards me and stand in front of me, he hold me face and stare into my eyes: "she will, every body will, except me, remember who took you and care about you, gave you a home, a job, I'm your family and everyone else betrayed us, me and Jinx will stand next to you and won't ever Stab your back", "I know dad, am sorry, I will forget her for good", he moved and stand behind me, "am sure you'll, now..." I felt a sting on my neck and I felt weak "you have a lot of work tomorrow, you need to sleep well" that was the last thing I heard before falling into deep sleep.

It's been a while, before I wake up, from a terrible nightmare, and the first thing welcomed me was Jinx throwing herself on me, "good morning little boy, good to see you back, it was boring since you upset", "oh hello Jinx, me too, I really missed you" she took herself from me, look at me and said: "you did?" I put my hand under her chain "of course sweety, I just had a little accident so that I didn't come for the previous days, am sorry that I brook my promise" she looked wondering what do I mean "when I promised you that I won't vanished suddenly, I am sorry that was out of my control", she interrupted me by a hug and said: "don't be silly, I know you were injured, I'm sorry that I couldn't help you in the ship, the smoke and enforcers I just felt that Sevika holding me and take me away" she took herself away from me and continued while starting down: "I was mad and angry from myself, I started to break and explode every thing" i understand how much it was heavy on her, she had a really hard days, I rose her head and tell her: "it's fine, what is matter know that we are together" I hugged her tightly and continue: "and whatever happen I won't leave you alone" Jinx hugged me back and I felt her chilling again. 

I was drown in dozens of works and papers, Silco couldn't handle the job and a lot of mistakes happened, so I was busy with calculating and founding mistakes, actually I didn't mind so much; cause that distract me from thinking about Cait, as I said it's just a matter of time. after hours of working and fixing everything I noticed that time was really late even though every workers left and I was alone in the factor, the silence and quietness was covering the place, except from little sounds from the mechanics but it wasn't bothering me. suddenly, I heard something break, I didn't bother myself to see what happened, maybe one of the guard did something stupid, I collect my stuff and left my office, the place was dark except from small lights and shimmer purple glow, I was hearing some foot steps and people running but it is normal, not before I heard a gun shoot and a heavy body hitting the ground, the blood freeze in my veins and I tried to figure out where the noise come from, I walked to the source of noise carefully; to be ready to any surprise, when I get closer I shock for what I saw mor than five guards were on the ground, what seem they just loose their consciousness I get closer to one of them and called him: "hey, you, you oka..." I couldn't continue my sentence when someone hit me from beside forcing me to fly away and fell on the ground, I immediately stand up to see who the hell was that and the surprise cover me, it was one of the fire lights, no they were a group and they were attacking the factory, it seems they succeeded, the one who hits me start getting closer, so I raised my hand and shout: "wait, wait, I don't have a gun....lets talk", "STOP" the fire light stop and I look at who scream, who seem like there leader, he start getting closer to me "listen, I have no gun, I don't want to fight, we can talk and reach to a solution" he didn't give me a chance cause he hit direct into my gut that I bow down: "that day..." he hold me and hit me again, "you killed..." HIT "five of my friends" HIT "five, are dead" another hit, he finally leave me, I fall on the ground and I spit blood on the floor, he is Ekko!, he is talking about that day, I must  have killed some of his close friends: "I swear, I was ordered.... to protect the shipment....I didn't want to....please" I looked at him with side of my eye begging him to stop, he looked at me for a while before giving me his back and walk away: "we're gonna take him", wait, what does he mea..., someone hit me on the back of my neck so I lost me consciousness directly.

---Time pass by---

I was straggling to catch my breath under this water, I start screaming and struggling until finally I pulled out of water, "well, you won't talk" I spit a lot of water and said while am trying to catch my breath: "what the hell you want from me" Ekko stand up madly and catch my hair rising my head to face me: "don't play smart, I asked you before, the places of Shimmer factors", "on my dead bo..." my head dip again in water and the cycle continue, it's been a while before they finally stop, they seem that they get tired, I thrown hard on the floor and Ekko was staring angrily, he sign to his goon to leave and let us alone, I used my hands to raise my body then I leaned on the near wall, "Y/N, I can't understand, how can you work him, he killed Vander" I stayed in silence for  a while before I said: "I don't know Ekko, I don't know, that night I was about to die, but he took me to a doctor and he saved my life, when I woke up, I found Powder loved him, as her father and she couldn't leave him, so I decided to stay with her after VI left, I couldn't just leave her also, and time pass by, I found myself work with him, he took care of us, he was literally our father, he show us another side" I looked at Ekko and smile: "trust me Ekko, you don't know him, no body know, when he was with us he was totally different, the rough and evil man vanish, and another one, not Silco, when he was brushing Powder hair or reading story for us, when he was teaching me how to run the work, or when we were going for a trip away from the Under city he was totally different" Ekko was starting grossly, he won't like Silco anyway "don't misunderstand him, he didn't want to drown the lanes with drug, he just needed a source of power to support the undercity against Piltover enforces and guns, Shimmer was the only way, and when he finally succeed, that Progress man invited the Hextech, leaving us behind and making our mission harder, even with Shimmer" I felt rage run through my veins, "but one day, everything will change and the lanes will be nation as one" I stared away and continue "Nation of Zaun" Ekko was staring at me and smirk: "you start talking like him" I looked at him "don't be surprised, I am his son" then I looked at him sharply: "and I will never betray him, what ever you do" he looked at me searching for something, for a hop that I didn't change totally, but he realized that nothing will change my mind.

one of his man entered the room and whisper something on his ear, Ekko face change, what seems that something surprised him. without any word, he immediately left the room and closed the door behind him leaving me alone and wet.
