RECAP: My feet were glued to the ground, I couldn't move, I couldn't think. The only thing I managed to do was stare, I couldn't get my eyes off of him for some reason. And that's when it hit me, I knew him. He was the man holding the knife in his hand, the night my mother was murdered. He was my mothers killer.

I don't think I've ever been this scared in my whole entire life. I could almost see my death coming, it was like if this man was here for one reason and one reason only. To kill. I was shaking violently, but I couldn't run, I just couldn't. Fear had glued me on the spot, I was like a deer caught in front of a cars head lights, unable to move. He stayed there looking at me, and I stood there looking at him. He then smirked and a small laugh escaped his thin lips, a quiet evil laugh. He began slowly walking towards me, his grin spreading wider and wider after each step he took. And that was my cue, to turn and run. Run for my life.

I don't remember the last time I ran, but I knew nothing could stop me. It's as if the roots and rocks on the path were gone, there were no obstacles, in my mind nothing could get in my way. I could hear him, he was behind me. He was chasing me, getting closer by the second. I had to gain speed or I wouldn't make it. The only thing I wanted right now was for the school too come into view, but it just never came. I had been running for what seemed like an eternity, he was close behind, still keeping up with me. The wind was blowing in my ears, making it hard for me to hear. The dark shadows were beginning to fade, telling me I was getting closer to the exit of this dark hole. I was running, but I had no energy left. The only thing that kept me going was my survival instinct. As I was running, I suddenly felt a sinking feeling, before I knew it I was falling of a small cliff, about 6ft tall. I landed hard on my left leg, which was crushed under my weight. I screamed out in pain, grabbing my foot with both hands, trying to ease the pain. In front of me was the school, I was only a few meters away from the entrance. Behind me were the woods, where my mothers killer was hiding. He never came out of those woods, which I was very thankful for. The pain brought me back to reality. My skin was ripped of on the side of my left leg from my knee to my ankle. There was blood everywhere, I hated blood, it made me sick. Dirt had made it's way in my cut, giving a burning sensation. I tried to get up without putting to much pressure on my injured leg. After many attempts, I finally managed to stand up on one leg. I began hopping my way to the front door. It took me all of the strength I had left in me, I was still shaking from the encounter in those woods.

Only a few feet away from the doors, I began to feel light headed, which soon turned into blurry vision. I was going to pass out, the sight of the blood made me sick. There was a trace of blood on the ground, I was weak. The only thing I wanted to do right now was sleep, sleep forever. I could feel my legs giving in under me, darkness was taking over me. I began to hear voices, I don't know who they belonged too, or where they came from, but I knew there was more than one person coming towards me.

"Emma! Emma hold on, im coming!"

That's the last thing I heard before darkness took over.
