Cordelia felt like she was about to have a heart attack.

With Mr. Malfoy still standing in front of her, he pulled away from her lips and stepped back, only to realize how badly she was holding her chest with her hands and how heavy she was breathing.

He debated so much in his head if he should try to touch her again, but then he heard Cordelia's mother walking towards the bathroom and not the kitchen, and he pulled her into his arms again.

"Cordelia," he kept his voice low, watching her eyes panic, "Breathe, Darling. She didn't see anything."

She nodded, and her hands let go of her shirt, a shiver running down her spine. "Please don't tell her. She'll kick me out and— and I don't have anywhere to go—"

He kissed her one more time, soft and delicate, his fingers holding her jaw as he did. When he pulled away, he heard the bathroom door open. "I'm not gonna say a word. Now I want you to go sit down over there at the table, and let me make you some tea."

She nodded her head, walking over to the dining table and taking a seat. Her legs felt like jelly, and Mr. Malfoy could definitely see it as he stirred honey inside of a cup.

"Hi, Babe." Cordelia's mother stepped into the kitchen, her eyes landing on Cordelia. "What are you doing here?"

"I—"

"I'm making her some tea and toast," Mr. Malfoy stated, spreading the jam on a piece of bread. "Scorpius is gone, and so we're you, and she was hungry."

"Hm," her mother set her bag down, "Well, I'm glad you two will be getting along. It's not long before the wedding."

Cordelia wanted to laugh in her mothers face, but she kept quiet. Even if Mr. Malfoy came and told her that kiss meant nothing later on, she'd still want to laugh in her mothers face because her fiancé cheated on her with her own daughter. Just like her mother allowed her ex boyfriend to cheat on Cordelia with her.

Mr. Malfoy smirked as he handed her the tea and the toast, and she just looked down.

"Well, I'm going to get changed. Meet me in my room, okay?" Cordelia's mother walked out, grabbing her bag and leaving once again out of the kitchen.

Cordelia just started to take a drink of her tea, when the flavor bursted on her tongue. It tasted good, and when she connected eyes with Mr. Malfoy, she quickly looked down. "What is this?"

"Green tea with honey and lemon." He responded, lowly. "Cordelia."

"I already know what you're going to say." She spoke lowly, taking another sip. "But you can't exactly expect me not to think much about it because you asked me if I've been kissed before. I said no, and you kissed me anyways. You were my first kiss."

He crossed his arms, "I never said it didn't mean anything."

What?

"Just keep your mouth shut about it, and don't tell anyone." He walked out of the kitchen, and Cordelia wanted to scream at him. Who would I tell?

"Cordelia..?"

She stopped playing with Brax in her bedroom, hearing Scorpius outside of her door. He hadn't knocked, hadn't said anything else but her name and her heart stopped beating.

"I don't know if you can hear me or not.. but I miss you." His voice cracked, "I really fucking miss you. I don't see you anymore. And I— I miss my best friend."

She clenched her jaw, hearing him slide down the door.

And then, his voice dropped down to a mere whisper. "What did I do?"
